Top Note Thank You

It is so quiet around our house again! I love it when family comes to visit! Time just goes too fast! I so enjoy my little nieces as they have such good manners as "thank you" and "please" for everything and it is so nice to sit and visit with them over a piece of pie or banana bread. Today's post was inspired by Shalae (Shellie's daughter). If you go to the Stampin' Up! website and click on Shellie's blog you can scroll down and see Shalae's Christmas card. I have made so many of this pattern for thank yous. I used the Riding Hood Red Ribbon to put through the Jumbo Brads on most of them. A great way to also use up scraps of ribbon and no tying.
On this card I used Olive cs and Black ink. I was limited with ribbon after I stamped it with black so I used the white cord-unraveled it and tied it as it looked better. I put two Top Notes together and added a Jumbo Brad. On the second layer I added my message. If you use any type of ribbon or cording and mail the card it will cost an extra 17 cents. Have fun with this pattern and be creative! I hope everyone has a fun and safe New Year's Eve!!!!

New DSP

This is some samples of the new Raspberry Tart DSP that will be coming out in the new Stampin' Up! catalog. These colors are all so bright and yummy!
These are the samples from the new Jackpot DSP that will be appearing in our new catalog. Finally, some black and white prints which we can really use!

New DSP

It has been awhile since I posted so I decided to post quite a few new cards using the Valentine Bundle and also some new DSP. I have been cleaning and organizing my kitchen cupboards (throwing and recycling)! It is so nice when it is all done! Now to get to my closets!!!!! This card uses Cameo Coral cs and the new Raspberry Tart DSP. Isn't is yummy? Tomorrow I will post the different colors of papers in the packet. I did decide that Stampin' Up! needs some black wide ribbon. I hope it is coming in the new catalog. I used the black grosgrain ribbon and the scalloped punch.
I used Pink Pirouette cs along with the wide Chocolate Chip ribbon and the Candy Lane DSP. This was a quick and easy card to make!

Glitter, glitter! I used the Chunky Glitter on the letters of LOVE along with the wide Pink Pirouette ribbon. The little rhinestone brads will fit into the Filagrees to make the flower. I think black brads would have looked better along the side but I was out of them so just used the pink rhinestone brads.

Love the Black and Pink together! I used several punches on this card--scalloped, 1 1/4, 1 3/8 circle punches and the Heart Punch. I also used the wide Pink Pirouette ribbon.

Love the colors here! I used the new Jackpot DSP and just reversed the DSP on the other side. I added the Black Organdy Ribbon which is retired and stamped all of the hearts with Black ink onto Cameo Coral cs. We really needed some black prints for DSP. Tomorrow I will also show you the papers in the Jackpot DSP. Thank you for looking and have a great week! I am having company for the next couple of days but I will try and sneak in some posting!

Merry Christmas

A very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year! Thank you for visiting my blog this Holiday Season!!! I may not post tomorrow as we will be getting together with family and friends. Enjoy your Holiday and keep safe!

Few More Valentine Bundle Card Samples

This is some more samples of the Valentine's Bundle. I used Riding Hood Red cs and Candy Lane DSP. Also, some rub ons and the scallop punch with the striped Riding Hood Red ribbon.
This is the Top Note from the Big Shot on Pink Pirouette card stock and again the Candy Lane DSP.

This card uses the Riding Hood Red cs and Candy Lane DSP and the striped Riding Hood Red Ribbon.

Valentine Bundle Samples

Here are just a few of some samples with the new Valentine Bundle. I used the Candy Lane striped DSP and the 3 Heart Punch. The punch is just awesome! You can use colored paper on the hearts and then use the white gel pen to make the dots around the hearts also. I had a little extra help this afternoon with trying to finish all of my Card Organizers filled with cards. It was amazing how much faster it went when we worked together cutting, punching, and tying ribbon.
This card also used the DSP which shows the back and front of one piece of DSP. I also used the Chocolate Chip Taffeta Ribbon--love that ribbon!

This card was put together quickly with the help of the Top Note from the Big Shot. We used Riding Hood Red and Pirouette Pink for most of the card stock. You can also add the new buttons (which I have lost on my table somewhere) and brads---I will show more samples tomorrow so stay tuned. Remember this set is on sale from December 23rd to January 31st for 20% off. Check the brochure on the right bar. They are already out of the Candy Lane paper but will be shipped in early January. They sold over 9,000 bundles to demonstrators before the special went to customers so it has been a popular set. I finished all of my gifts and they are all wrapped and delivered except for my Dads which I am delivering tomorrow, some that will be delivered on Christmas Day and one set during vacation when meeting friends. It is so fun to deliver gifts when someone is not expecting one! I did use all of the tins I bought. Wish I would have bought more so may have to take another visit to the Thrift Shop! So fun to use!

Valentine Bundle

This is the Heart Punch that is in the Valentine Bundle Special. This special is 20% off and is from December 23rd to January 31st. It is regularly $ 51.85 but 20% off for $41.48.
This is a picture of some of the 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper that is in the Candy Lane Packet. Check out the birds in the bottom corner. What a cute scrapbook page.

This is the Stamp Set that comes in the Valentine Bundle. It has 6 stamp images and note how the Valentine Punch works with the one heart image. Then if you add the white gel pen to the dots it is way too cute!

Baja Breeze Carousel Notes

This is the Baja Breeze Carousel Notes found on page 167 on the SU catalog. I put two of these together with the Jumbo Brads and added some wide Chocolate Chip ribbon. The stamp set is from the Country Living Stamp Kit. Then of course, I had to add some bling! Glitter, glitter, glitter! To add a little extra I sponged the outside of the carousel with Chocolate Chip ink and then punched a hole at each scallop. Tomorrow I will begin posting some Valentine Cards and some new stamp sets that will be coming out in the New Catalog. It doesn't seem possible that we would be posting Valentine Cards already but if you would like to get in on the free shipping and the Valentine Bundle you will have to order on December 23rd to take advantage of both specials. I am about done making Christmas gifts. Hopefully, I will finish tomorrow! I figured I have made over 250 cards for my gifts for Christmas. It is time for a little break but then I see all of this yummy paper coming in for Valentine's Day! Have a great week!

Retired Bronc Buster

I was so disappointed when I found out that SU was retiring this set. I love this set for my western friends. I have been making a bunch of western cards for friends for Christmas so I will just show you a few. This image was stamped on Whisper White and mounted on DSP on top of Chocolate Chip card stock. I also sponged along the edges and added a couple of the Jumbo Brads and the white cording from the Holiday Mini catalog.
This card was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink onto Whisper White card stock and sponged along the sides. I also added 3 Jumbo Brads onto Blue Bayou card stock which was mounted on Tangerine Tango card stock. You could add any image or Rub On on either of these cards. You could also add any of the brads or hardware on these western cards.

Christmas Tins

Yesterday morning I went to the Boy's Club Thrift Shop to pick up a Cross that my cousin had made for my mother for her grave. Of course, it was absolutely beautiful with a large royal blue bow. While I was there I looked around the store and wow I found so many cool ideas. These tins were only 25 and 50 cents. If you click on the tin you can see the price on the tag. These would make great boxes for cards, candy or treats at Christmas time.
These boxes are like little treasure boxes. They are two different sizes but are so cool for 25 and 50 cents. I just read the "Christmas Box" tonite
by Richard Paul Evans. It was a book that Shellie had on her blog and was only available for a limited time. A great story and it really makes you realize what life is about. If you get a chance you should read it as it is a very small book to read with a lot of meaning.

Plastic Snowflakes

This snowflake was hard to capture in a picture. I was reading on Barb's blog about these plastic dividers she had hidden in her closet. I looked in my closet and found the same dividers. What do you do with these? I cut them in 1/4's and then ran them through the Big Shot with the Snowflake Die Cut. You can not see it real well but I added some 3 way glue and of course more GLITTER! Add a little silver elastic cord and you have a nice tree ornament or an ornament for a gift bag.

Cocoa Gift

I thought I had posted this but couldn't find it on my blog. This little cocoa gift was made with a 3 x 12 piece of Riding Hood Red card stock. I put on a Rub On from Seasons of Cheer Rub Ons in the Holiday Mini Catalog. The oval was cut with a cutting system so the name of the cocoa would show through. I used Chocolate Chip for the Top Note and added some Riding Hood Red/Very Vanilla Ribbon from the Holiday Mini. This little project has been on the internet but I can't remember where I found it so I can give credit to this person. I just love this ribbon-use it for so many projects. I got the Cocoa from the Weathered Vane. This cocoa comes in many flavors. This would be a great treat on a night like tonight when the temps are well below zero.

Bronco Buster Thank You

Here is another Bronco Buster card that is made with the 4 1/4 x 10 3/4 card stock. I used Kiwi Kiss cs and Ski Slope DSP. You will score on the 4 1/4 and the 8 3/4 scorelines. Your DSP is 4 x 4 and 1 1/2 x 4. The Bronco Buster will be retiring in January. The "Thank You" is from the Wow Flowers stamp set which is one of the sets that are 20% off if you buy $20.00 worth of merchandise. It is soooooooooo very cold outside.

Birthday Cards

It is a very cold day out today with the wind blowing so a great day for making cards and eating chili. So cold they even cancelled our church services. I decided to make some yummy cards for some Christmas presents. These two cards are made from the stamp set "Crazy for Cupcakes". I used the Big Shot to make the Birthday background and then stamped the cake on Whisper White Card Stock. I used colored pencils to color the image and then used an Aqua Painter to blend the colors. Of course, I had to add some glitter and some Pink Piroquette ribbon.
On this card I used the same background with the red and white striped ribbon. I also used some micro beads to put on the frosting. Keep warm!

Snowflake Card

Wow! What a whirlwind these last two days have been ! I had 2 clubs at my house which were just a blast! We always have so much fun when we get together. I love clubs as you get to know your customers better and it is such a social event. As someone said it is such good therapy and better than going to a psychologist! How true! Last night we took my dad out for dinner and then we went out to eat to celebrate my sister-in-laws birthday. I just had a three course meal-a little at each restaurant! Tonight we had friends over for soup and sandwiches and then watched the NFR. I even got a little stamping in done in between. This card is 4 1/4 x 10 3/4 Baja Breeze with Ski Slope DSP. You score on the 4 1/4 and the 8 3/4. I added the felt snowflakes and Peaceful Wishes Rub On on the bottom!
I just turned the DSP over and put this DSP on Riding Hood Red card stock and added a snowflake and the brown rub on "Merry & Bright". It is really storming out - wind is blowing (what a surprise) and the temperture is dropping. We got some snow earlier. It is suppose to be a rough day tomorrow. (I guess it is Sunday now as it is after midnight.) We were suppose to leave for Denver tomorrow as I had an appointment on Monday but I can see that is not going to happen. Hopefully, I will get to do a lot of stamping tomorrow and get some Christmas gifts finished. Thanks for looking!

Small Christmas Cards & Wedding Card

This is a Wedding Card using the Fun & Fast Notes and Soft Sky DSP and card stock with white embossing.
Again, I used the stamp set from Country Living! Love this stamp! Also added a rub on "Merry Christmas"!

This DSP is from the Mini Holiday Catalog with a rub on. Also, I used the snowman from the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set. Of course, I had to add liquid applique and lots of glitter. Bling! Bling! The scallop was punched from the Big Shot.

Kid's Cards

Here are a few cards from the Fun Pun set. Love this set and they make such cute cards for kids.

Again, I am using a lot of scraps but you can use any kind of DSP and get the same effect!

I used the Big Shot for the embossed background and then used the cute hippo with the Rose Ribbon. I am trying to fill a bunch of Card Organizers for Christmas Gifts.

Christmas Cards with Scraps

I took Carol's advice and just started going through my Scrap Baskets to see how many cards I can come up with. It is amazing how a person accumulates so many scraps so fast. I used a white Scallop from the Big Shot and stamped the Santa from the Jolliest Time of the Year! Love this set! I also used some Liquid Applique and of course MORE GLITTER!!! Dear Santa is from the rub ons Season of Cheer! Love the rub ons!
This card uses the stamp set from the Country Living Kit! I can see that these stamps will be used a lot in this set!

I made a square card with Baja Breeze and the Ski Slope DSP. The snowflakes were cut with the Big Shot from Whisper White card stock. I used the Holiday Wishes from the Country Living Stamp Set.

Snowman Candy Bars

This is a picture of a group of Hershey Candy Bars I made. I was inspired by Dawn but did some changing on mine. You use a piece of white card stock 3 x 3 1/2 inches and add the details. I tried using the 1/4 inch circles for the mouth but liked the Black Stampin' Write Marker. I also hand cut the orange nose instead of using the Ticket Punch.

Peanut Cluster Bag

I am back and I did not leave the country. I had my cord to my camera at my daughters and we kept forgetting to bring it home. I will try and post several today. My daughters and I have been doing a lot of baking. We even got my husband to decorate some sugar cookies tonight. These are such a simple little gift-just put some peanut clusters in a small bag and add the Top Note and a Snowflake from the Big Shot. Yummy! and so easy. It just takes peanut butter, chocolate chips and then add some Spanish Peanuts. Pretty simple recipe. We are trying to get some neighbor and office trays done. I will try my luck at Banana Bread and Gumdrop Cookies tomorrow. My husband is still waiting for the Peanut Butter Fudge!!!! I also got all of my ornaments done for my great nieces and nephews! I really look like the Glitter Queen! We have been staying up late watching the National Finals Rodeo so I try to get a little done in between commercials.

Scrapbook Club

Here are some pictures of our Scrapbook Club. We meet at Hardee's once a month to make a scrapbook page and 2 other projects-cards or a 3-D project. Deb and Erin are checking out the catalog after working on their Cocoa holder project.

Theresa is showing us the tree and ornaments she bought for her grandchildren. She is such a kind person and really into the family. Jennifer is working so hard on her scrapbook page as she is also completing her mother's projects tonight.

Theresa is thumbing through the catalog. It was like a whirlwind tonight at Club as the weather turned nasty so we didn't get to have our usual relaxing Club.

Cary and her mom, Lillian, getting ready to leave as the wind and snow are picking up. I have two mother-daughter members. Love it! Erin is working so hard again.

Scrapbook Page

This is a scrapbook page inspired by Heather. I used different types of DSP in class and this one happens to be the Chocolate Chip polka dotted. I used the Big Shot and the Serif Letters to make the HO, HO, HO. I cut a 4 x 12 Kiwi Kiss piece of paper with a 12 x 1 piece of DSP on the top. This Santa Claus is the same one that I put on the card below.

Red Hats Visit the Old Governors Mansion

Three posts in one day is a lot for me to do! Today for Lunch our Red Hat Group met at the Old Governor's Mansion in Rapid City for a tour and lunch. It was very interesting to hear of the move of the mansion from Pierre to Rapid City and the cost of the upkeep.

This is 2 of the trees in the basement. There are 3 floors with lots of trees. The upstairs has all the bedrooms, the downstairs has a big open room and the main floor has the dining areas.

This is one of the rooms on the Main Floor with the Fireplace Mantle all decorated.

This is our Group--we had 17 ladies attend for a tour and then lunch of a hot turkey sandwich, vegetable, cranberries and pumpkin pie with whip cream. This was a very worthwhile and enjoyable tour!!! I even made all the steps with my knee!
