All Occasions Card Class

I will be having an All Occasions Card Class on Thursday, April 14th 10-2 and 5-9 and also on Saturday, April 16th from 9:30-3. The cost is $15 for 12 cards (2 cards of 6 different designs). Yesterday I spent the afternoon and evening making a scrapbook page for my club and also experimenting with different techniques. My cousin, Linda, is in town today with part of her family so I am going to run up and spend a little time with them. It is still trying to snow out today and probably most of this week off and on. At least we know it is warmer and it won't stick around too long. Thursday, March 31st, is the last day for Sale-a-bration! If you would like any more FREE stamp sets be sure and contact me by Thursday through email or phone. You can also click the button on my sidebar and order online! The orders have really been coming fast! I hope you have a great day and do something fun and memorable!

From the Heart

This is a card we made in the March Club! I was inspired by Dawn http://dawnsstampingthoughts.com. She always has the most beautiful cards. I did change some items as I used the Very Vanilla Vintage Flower Adornments (#121879) and also used a different saying. I used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder for the background and the Elegant Soiree DSP. If you look real closely you can see the Beveled Windowpane (#121881) that I wove the Baja Breeze Seam Binding through and then put the piece of DSP through the ribbon. I added a Silver Trinket Key (#121892) with a glue dot. I also sponged Silver Ink over the Embossing. This was a fun card to make but it did take a lot of supplies. Have a great day!

Candy Bar Wrappers

I made these little treats for the Lion's Club Supper last night. I just added a piece of DSP ( 3 x 3 1/2) and then put a punched item on top of the DSP.
I made about 34 of them and used some of the self adhesive stickers also.
If you use punches it goes really fast! Hope you have a good evening!

More & More Fun Flower Cards

I know, I know you are probably so tired of these fun flowers but I just love them. We made these at my Birthday Card Class this past week. With some of the flowers we sprayed them with water and then crunched them up and let them dry and then put them together.
On this card I sprayed it with the mixture of alcohol and a little silver Mist (from Dawn's recipe) and then I scrunched it up and let it dry. Also for the thread of the button I used a small sliver of Peach Parfait and put it through the button holes.
On this card I just used the circles for the center that come with the Fun Flower Die! Love the DSP! So bright and cheery as I am so ready for Spring!
We used the Poppy cs and the same DSP as above for this card along with some Pear cs and a big brown button. Everyone seemed to really enjoy the cards and had fun in class! I will be offering an All Occasions Class in April-watch for details! Have a great day! We are on our way to the Lion's Supper and will share the treats I made for them tomorrow!

Cards for Troops

Cards for Troops
Our Stampin' Up! Team is going to be making cards for Troops on Wednesday, March 30th at the Rapid City Public Library from 10-2 in Room B which is upstairs. There is an elevator also. All of the supplies will be provided except for the adhesive. We will be making cards and then will send them to the troops. If you are unable to come and would like to contribute cards just have them to me or a member of our team by March 30th and we will send them to the organization Operation Write Home. We will be making cards for Father's Day, Birthday, Hello, Thank You, etc but we are too late to make Mother's Day Cards. If you make your own do not add glitter or bulky accessories. Also, do not put any sentiment inside the card. You can view all of the details on Operation Write Home website. Come and enjoy a day of making cards and fellowship!

25th Anniversary Card

I made this card for my sister, Rhonda, and her husband for their 25th Wedding Annniversary on Wednesday. I used the Silver and Basic Black Card Stock and of course the Fun Flower Die. I just can't seem to make enough of these cards-just love that die. It is in the Occasions Mini catalog until the end of April for $32.95. It is so worth it as I have used it for so many cards. I plan to use it for some decorations for our Lion's Club supper on Sunday also. The ribbon is from SU but very retired. They do not have a silver ribbon anymore so had to rely on the oldies. Have a great evening!

St. Patrick's Day Card

Happy St. Patrick's Day to everyone today! Yes, we do have some Irish in us--I always laugh as I have more Irish than my husband and his last name is Ireland! This is a card that I made with the Assisted Living Ladies.
Today I worked on some more bags for the little elementary girls at a local school. The teachers use the bags for reading incentive prizes. I am working on the last half of the bags and hope to be done by next week. It always takes longer than you think! Yesterday I had a great Birthday Card Class and the rest of the gals will come on Saturday! Always so much fun to get to meet new people and socialize. They were really workers as there were 15 cards to complete.! I will show you the cards this week on my blog! Have a great St. Paddy's Day!

Wednesday, March 16, 2011

These are some cards from my downline, Sarah and Jennifer. We had our downline meeting last week and we always share new ideas. Sarah made this card from our club meeting and then added more detail to the card.
Jennifer made these 2 cards for her class. The bottom card uses pop cans for the flower! Nice job, girls!

Club Card

This is a card that we made at Club last week that I cased from someone. I used the Fun Flowers Die and sponged pink around the edges. I also sponged Gray around the saying but I didn't care for that color-maybe try a Chocolate Chip or the pink. I also used pink and cream striped ribbon and pulled a horizontal thread to make it wavy. If you put the red sticky tape under the ribbon you can play with the ribbon a little to make it look like you want. I also added a neutral button in the middle but some of the gals put pink (subtles) and it looked really nice! Have a great day!

Decorative Punch Card

So enjoy making these cards! Again, I used the Vintage Embossing Folder and Spring Vintage DSP! I also used the Rose Red seam binding and the Decorative Punch and Scalloped Oval Punch!
We had a great and productive day yesterday at our Downline Meeting! So many ideas and questions to solve. It is always fun getting together and exploring new ideas! It is almost 50 degrees out so has been nice and warm here the last 2 days! On my way to get my hair cut! Have a great day!

Baja Breeze

It is still snowing out! I just shoveled the sidewalks and they are full again! We had a great day yesterday with my Stamp Club! Love it when the ladies get together! I always learn so much from the other gals--a fun day!
Check out the new MDS downloads as on Tuesdays they will release new items (not every Tuesday but that is when they are releasing them now). They also have a great tracker so you dont order more than 1 of each copy as I have before!
This afternoon is my Scrapbook Club and I hope everyone can get there OK! I think the snow is suppose to quit eventually today!
I made this card with Artichoke card stock and the Tulip Frame and also added some Sorilee DSP along with the Baja seam binding and a Vintage Flower Adornment (#121879). You get 24 of these flowers in a container for only $5.95. Check out my website on the sidebar! I also used the Decorative Label Punch (#120907) with Vanilla and Artichoke card stock.
I hope you are having a great day!

Fun & Easy Owl Card

What a busy weekend! It seems like we have been on the go all weekend! It ended today with a birthday party for our great little friend, Hadlee! She turned 1 today and her mom and dad had such a nice little party for her!
The card I have today is made with Crumb Cake card stock and DSP. The owls are from the SAB stamp set that is FREE if you order $50 of merchandise. This special ends on March 31st so be sure to check on my Stampin' Up! website and go to "Shop Now". You can also include some digital downloads for your MDS which will count towards your $50.00. I had cut some card stock and DSP for my ladies at the Assisted Living and then I come home and use the cut paper to make some cards with. Hope you had a great weekend!

Friday, March 4, 2011

I feel like I am top of the world!!! It is amazing what one day can do! I am busy making cards for my club and my Birthday Card Class in March! This card again was made with the Fun Flower Die and then I sponged Real Red ink on it and added the red/cream striped ribbon. I also added a Real Red button in the middle and used about 10 inches of ribbon and found the center thread and pulled on it to make it wrinkle You want to have it pretty smooth under the flower but then just work with the gathers after you get it on. I took a piece of red sticky tape and put it across the card stock and then laid my ribbon it. You can work with it pretty freely!
Hope you have a great weekend!!!

Fun Flower

Finally, I think I am on the road to recovery! I have had the stomach flu and it hasn't been fun! I haven't accomplished much in the last few days!
I made this card with the Fun Flower Die, Rose Red and Artichoke card stock and also the Spring Vintage DSP. I also added an Artichoke Designer Button and the saying from the new Sympathy stamp set that is in the Occasion Mini Book. This flower die is so gorgeous and can be used with so many ribbons and different colors of card stock and DSP!
Have a great day!
