last day for Awash Flower Set

I made up a bunch of sympathy and thank you cards with the Awash Flower Set. I just love this set and I hope you got yours as today will be the last day you can order this set until July 1st. It is a 2 step stamping set and so easy to use as it is so whimsical! You can stamp a single flower or lots of flowers on one piece of card stock! Have a great day!

Awash Flower Set

I made this card with a color I do not use that often but I love Apricot Appeal with Soft Suede! I ran the background through the Big Shot with the Dot Folder and then added apiece of Whisper White Card Stock and sponged around the edges. I also used Rub Ons in chocolate. The flower is from the Awash Flowers that is just on special through April and then will return in the new 2010-2011 catalog. I just love this set as there is so many ideas you can use with it.

This card was really fun to make and went so fast! At our last club meeting Nancy's little daughter came with her so she punched out a lot of the Vellum Card Stock flowers. It was so much fun to have a little helper again! We used half back medium pearls, taffets ribbon, Lovely Lilac card stock (which will not be returning in the new catalog), Tea Party DSP, Whisper White and Lavendar Lace card stock, and black ink. This Friday, April 30th, will be the last day to order from the Occasions Mini Catalog. You may begin ordering from the Summer Mini on Saturday, May 1st. I hope you have a wonderful day!

Vintage Vogue Card

Good morning! It is such a beautiful day but a little windy! This is a card that we made at Lori's workshop on Friday night! We had such a fun group and I got to meet such nice friendly ladies! Many were new to Stampin' Up! and we had a great time and they did a great job of stamping! Wow! This card was made with the Vintage Vogue set which will be carried over to the new catalog! Yeah! I also used Kraft and Whisper White card stock and some Soft Suede DSP and ink. We paper tore the Chocolate Chip card stock and used 5 inches of Chocolate Chip 5/8" ribbon. Our technique was to use our great Rub Ons from Stamping Up! I sponged around the card with Soft Suede and added a Chocolate Chip Corduroy Button. You could add many different sayings on this card! I hope you have a great day and enjoy the sunshine!

Scalloped Card

This card was made with Melon Mambo, Pretty In Pink, and Taken with Teal card stock. I used the medium and large scallop in the Big Shot and cut down the side so it would fit on the card. The center scallop was punched with the Scallop Punch. The DSP is from the Sweet Pea book of paper in the mini catalog. I also used a large pink button and used a small slice of card stock to put in the holes of the button. I had seen a map of a card and designed this card from the map! I hope you have a nice evening!

Another Addition

Another new little one! He is so cute especially when they get to jumping and running around. This is Six Square--a new little stud colt! Now we have one to go! I have been busy getting ready for Lorilie's workshop tonight and also for our Business Booth for the weekend. Hopefully, then it will slow down a little. We have been getting a beautiful rain which has been coming very slowly. Yesterday I got a few more card samples made so will post them this weekend. Have a great day!

Envelope Card

Hopefully, my blogging will get back to normal next week. It has been a busy month! I have a workshop tomorrow night with Lorilei and the
Business Booth on Saturday and Sunday and then I should be caught up. I have made several sample cards so will try and get them on for you. We had a great Thank You Class and it is always fun to meet new people.
This card was CASED from Heather and was a fun but tedious card to make. We used Kraft card stock and Bella Bleu DSP. I also used Kraft Taffeta Ribbon, Half Back Pearls from the Pretties Kit, Brocade Blue and Kraft Ink and a sponge. We also used the Big Shot and the Top Note. Heather has a tutorial on this card! It turned out really pretty!

We were traveling from Arizona to Walla Walla Washington with 2 other gals. We had a lot of fun with horses and a dog! What beautiful mountains!
This is Lana and Suaza in her stall after they ran the barrel race! Walla Walla has such a nice fairgrounds.

A beautiful lake in Cour' de Lane! We were so fortunate to see such beautiful scenery!
This was the fairgrounds in Alamo! They had such nice pens and a crows nest!
Will is really enjoying his trip to Washington without any other dogs! He thinks he is pretty cool!

We made this card at our April club which was cased from Lisa Freeman. I used Bella Bleu DSP, Night of Navy and Whisper White, and Kraft Card Stock. There are 14 scallops and circles starting with a Night of Navy, Kraft, and then 2 Night Of Navy DSP, 2 Kraft DSP, 2 N of N 1 3/8 circles, 2 Kraft 1 3/8 inch circles, and 2 N of N 1 inch circle and 2 Kraft 1 inch circles. I just alternate the colors starting with either color until I got to the Kraft 1 inch circle. I added a brown brad from the Mini in the center and then just bring all of the paper up towards the center of the brad squishing it real tight to make the layers. Be sure you only squish 1 layer at a time. I added Kraft taffeta ribbon on the bottom and stamped on Whisper White. This would also make a nice Mother's Day card! I hope you have a nice day as I am preparing for a thank you card class on Wednesday and a workshop on Friday evening. I also hope to get my potatoes and onions in the garden and get my house cleaned so I have a BIG DAY ahead of me!

I am back

I am back again!!!! I have been in Pierre doing an evaluation for some educational programs. Patty and I had a great time but I am sooo glad to be home again-It has been a wild 2 weeks! We made this scrapbook page in club this month. The picture is of our good friends-Alma, Gene, and Casey! We used Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Old Olive, So Saffron, and Kraft Card stock. I cut a butterfly out of cork with the Big Shot and folded a little piece of Old Olive Striped Ribbon and added some buttons. The Top Note was made from Vanilla Card Stock and the Big Shot. I also used the Lace Punch with the Bashful Blue Card stock. This page was shown on the Stampin' Success magazine in April.

New Addition

I just returned from Arizona and Washington yesterday to find a "new little one" was born. She is so cute! Another barrel racer I am sure! Our trip was fabulous and we got to see a lot of beautiful scenery in a short time in Arizona, Nevada, Idaho, Oregon, Washington, Montana and Wyoming! I was so anxious to see Oregon as I had never been there and then it was just turning dark when we arrived. I did get to see a little of it and the passes were awesome but kind of scary. So glad the weather was good as we were pulling a horse trailer. I really got to see a lot of Nevada as we traveled the whole east side and even went through Las Vegas in all of the lights!!!! It was not warm there as we were still wearing our winter coats!

Button Cards

I had lots of card stock cut and so I decided to make up a bunch of cards with the buttons. I used the bird leg in the Bird Set to make the stems, added buttons and then some ribbon on the bottom of the card. My card stock is 4 x 8 , 3 3/4 x 3 3/4 and then the white is 3 1/2 x 3 1/2. You could also make this a progressive card by putting it on a larger piece of card stock and making a larger card or make a scrapbook page with it.A big thank you to whoever's blog I cased this from. I am not sure where I got the idea from. You can click on the cards and get a closer look at each card. Buttons are so much fun! They were very easy and quick to make and nice to have for thank you notes. I hope you have a great evening!
