Falling Leaves with Sewing

The colors did not turn out very good on this post but it is the Razzleberry , Old Olive, and Mustard cs. I sewed around the Old Olive and then also sewed down the middle of the leaves after I had scrunched the mustard squares and the leaves.

Free Big Shot

Remember, I will be giving away a Free Big Shot on November 1st. For every $25 you order (subtotal) you get to put your name in my bucket and I will draw out a name on November 1st to some lucky person. These can be club orders, customer orders or online orders. Also, I still have a couple of spots in my Cookie and Candy Classes if you would like to come on Monday (6pm) and Tuesday (1 pm) Just email me or give me a call!!! Have a great day!
This is my ribbon holders that I got from IKEA when I was in Arizona last spring. I just love them but I probably should have got 4 of them as they fill up so fast. I put my retired ribbons on the top row but as you can see the holders are all filled up! It is so handy when you just need to grab a spool and run! Have a great day and enjoy the beautiful fall days!

Spice Cake DSP

This is a very simple and clean card that I am sending to my sister whose husband is going through cancer treatments. I have also included a "Starbucks" card for her to enjoy for a few minutes and relax. I have learned one thing from being the decision maker of my father for 7 years that I hope to share with family in the future and that is every once in awhile to send the caregiver an "upper" --may it be a card, phone call, cup of coffee, just a few words of encouragement, listening, ice cream, a book or whatever to keep them encouraged. It is a very tedious job and I know everyone says we dont expect you to do it but someone needs to take the responsibility and I have to remind myself many times how lucky I am to be the one and treasure the memories. Have a great day and enjoy the beautiful fall!
Materials:
4 1/4 x 11 Marine Mist cs
Soft Suede cs
Marine Mist Striped Ribbon
Spice Cake DSP
Word Play #120308 wood #120651 Clear
Scallop Trim Border

October Club Scrapbook Page

This is the October Scrapbook Page for Club. I used a 12x 12 Garden Green cs for the base. The caption was made on the My Digital Studio. I had the greeting "Spooky" and then a spider web on each side of the words on Pumpkin Pie cs and then bordered with Basic Black cs. The squares were cut with the 1 1/4 and 1 3/8 punches with the base in Rich Razzleberry and then various DSP. I also added some buttons and a little spider that I have had for a long time. I cased the squares from someone on Stampin' Connection and then just started building from there. (I do not know who to give credit to but if you know please let me know and I will add your name). This was a very fun page to make. This afternoon I played with the Falling Leaves set and will show you these cards as the week goes by! Have a great evening!

This is a candle that Jennifer made for our Fair Display using the Haunted Forest stamp #123841 which is only $9.95. It looks really cute on a candle. What a productive day I had! I got my cards all ready for the Assisted Living group. I like them layered but have to be pretty simple. We always have a good time there. I also got all of my Candy samples made for my class and just finished working on my Scrapbook page for Club. I just love this page-I had so much fun putting it together. I will post it after I get a picture taken of it. I was so proud of myself as I used My Digital Studio to make the caption and then I ran it on Pumpkin Pie card stock. I also added some buttons and squares and now hopefully I can find the picture I want to go with it. I also finished one of the club cards which was fun to make. Now off to check yearlings and then pick tomatoes. We are suppose to have high winds tonight. Have a great evening!!!!

Ruidoso and Wedding Card

Before I left for our vacation I made this card with Satin Fabric and the Big Shot. Jill Olson sent me a video on how to make this card which she had got from someone at Convention. Jill had a template for her bodice of the dress but I used the Tab Punch and then used the Square Punch to cut the neckline. You could also add pearls to the dress or make it into a Prom card or Sweet 16 Card.

Bud and I and the Riudoso Race Track! We had so much fun but drove into TX on Monday night and then 14 hours yesterday to get home as we have our own Futurity this weekend! We had so much fun and saw a lot of country! Boy, did I ever get sunburnt on Monday! Yikes! Have a great day!!!

Race Track in New Mexico

We are enjoying our trip to the Ruidoso Race Track in New Mexico. This was a picture of one of the races! We also enjoyed visiting a Stallion Farm.

This is the race track! We watched some quarter horse races and then went to the yearling sale and saw a horse sell for $330,000 and some for $200,000 etc. We have had a great time and seeing some great country.

This is a card I made for the Fair display. I made 4 of the flower and cut each layer out and then put them on top of each other.

I tried to make an entry last night and the internet was not working at the motel.

This is the scrapbook page we made for this month using the New In Colors and the 2 scallop punches.
