Christmas Bulb

It is snowing again today so will make a beautiful Christmas picture! I am still working on my Christmas cards. I did get all my gifts ready to mail yesterday so now to get to the Post Office. I worked on some cards but still have a lot to go! I know what I will be doing the next two days! We made this Christmas bulb at our December Clubs. You take a clear bulb (any size) and put in any color of reinker. Just keep moving and twisting the bulb until the inside is completely covered. Then you add some glitter (any color) and shake it until covered. Dump out the excess glitter and you are done! I saw so many pretty bulbs! Have fun!!! Enjoy your day and just set one goal for the day!

Rag Purses

We are back from Vegas of watching the National Finals for 3 nights and so now I will be trying to do a lot of catch up! We had a great time but we were ready to get back to less people. These are the purses that I have been making using the Big Shot and the Scalloped Square Die. The first one I used 3 different materials but did not have a lot of contrast in the materials. You can cut 8 squares at a time so it does not take long to cut out the 38 squares. You add a piece of cotton batting in between each square and then start sewing together. I got my directions from Angie's
website. The bottom picture I used more contrast in the material and I like it a little better. I have made 4 of these so far and each time I make one I seem to figure out another strategy. I also added a button for the closure. These would also make good camera cases. You could also make them larger by adding more squares. If you have any questions just drop me an email. I hope you have a great day and enjoy every minute of it.

Jolliest Time of the Year

This is such a cute card I received from Shirrise, my downline. She used the Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set and various colors of card stock! Just love the belt on the bottom! The buckle uses the small punch for the little latch! So cute! We gave Shirrise such a bad time about sending her cards out in February and now she was one of my first Christmas cards that I got in the mail! Have a great day and week!

Sunday, December 6, 2009

We hosted a neighborhood Christmas card party last night and this was the prize I gave to the Man's low prize. We had a lot of fun with it. Again, this is just a book I bought at the local craft store and covered it with Black Card stock and cut out the beehive and honey from Summer Sun. I stamped some bees on it with White Craft Ink. Of course, I had to add some glitter. I used the spiral punch on the sides and then it just slipped under the black spirals. I am off to a bazaar-have a great day!

Christmas Plate

This is a cool plate I picked up this Fall at the Apple Heritage Festival we attended near Philadelphia! I love the saying on the plate "Families are Forever--Love Doesn't Melt". We are having a neighborhood Christmas Card Party and Potluck tonight and then tomorrow I have a Bazaar in New Underwood so I have been quite busy! Enjoy!

My Digital Studio Notebook

I made one of these notebooks for each of my Club Members for Christmas using My Digital Studio. I also added their name to each one. Our little spiral punch works great for fitting the spirals for the cover. I purchased a little book from the local craft store and then ran the MDS page on our Whisper White card stock and cut it to fit the book and then added some ribbon on the side. I was going to make them all the same and then got creative and made them all a little different. This makes a nice but inexpensive gift.

Snowman Scrapbook Page

We had so much fun at club making this scrapbook page and some of the ladies made a Christmas Card instead. The bottom page is the page I took to club for a sample in which I used Tempting Turquoise and Whisper White Card Stock. I paper tore 2 pieces of card stock from the 12 x 12 Whisper White and then sponged the edges with Tempting Turquoise. If you sponge around one side of the circles it really makes them standout from the snowbanks. The snowmen were made with 1 3/4, 1 3/8, and 1 1/4 inch circle punches. The arms were made with the new Snowflake punch and Close to Cocoa card stock. Most of the snowballs were made with the 1/2 inch circle punch and the nose was made with the My Way punch. We also added a tree with the Level I set Patterned Pines. The top page was made by Leanna. She had so much fun making this page (not sure where the picture will go as she just kept making snowmen.) The hat was made with the Tree from Patterned Pines and then she added a circle on the end of the hat. The best part of the snowmen are the ways the eyes look and the mouths. Some are happy while others are scared and some can be made sad. Check out the different extensions of arms and the twigs just in the snowbanks. The last thing you want to do is of course the most important thing: GLITTER! Everyone at club really got into this page. I will see if I can get some of the members to send me their cards also. This original idea came from Andrea Walford and we just kept expanding on her idea. I hope you all have a great day! It is cold and windy here today so I am staying inside getting all of my supplies back after 3 clubs in the last 2 days and getting my house back in order. In other words I am going to be playing catch up today!!! Enjoy!!!

Congratulations

Congratulations to Cassie for winning the Blog Candy!

Christmas Angel Tile

This is an Angel Tile that I CASED from Andrea's site. Andrea has some beautiful projects on her site. Thank you Andrea for all of your ideas! I stamped the angel from the Holy Triptych set with Black Staz On Ink and then used the Shimmer Paints to color the angel with. I painted the wings with Platinum Shimmer Paint and mixed Frost White with Ruby Red Classic Reinker on the gown. I put a little dab of Frost White on my plastic container and then added a dab of reinker and mixed them together. The hair is Soft Suede and the skin is Blush Blossom. After I finished painting with a small watercolor brush I used a sponge and Soft Suede and rubbed on the tile around the edges and left a little white around the angel to look like it is glowing. This picture does not show the real affect of the sponging. I baked mine in the oven for 15 minutes at 350 degrees, let it cool, and then sprayed with Krylon sealer. You can add the little felt or cork on the bottom and use for a trivet.

Two Tags Die

Tags, tags and more tags! I have seem to have got a kick about making tags with the Bigz Two Tags Die and the Big Shot! We made some of these at Convention and then I ordered the Die and I am just now using it for Christmas Tags for the Bazaar! Once you start making them there are all kinds of ideas to use on them. I worked on these tonight while a group of Lion's Club members were in our garage sacking candy for our local music program. I can remember as a little kid when Santa would always bring a sack of candy and an apple to us after our program. I used Real Red, Whisper White, Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Glorious Green card stock and ink for these tags. I also used the Scallop Punch, 1 1/4 Circle and 1 3/8 Circle Punches, Oval Punches, and the new Large Snowflake Punch. Watch my blog this week and you will see what else you can do with the Snowflake Punch. Have a great evening!

I had a great day today-getting some more projects done for a Bazaar next Sunday. I am just about done! Tomorrow night the Lions Club is coming to our house to sack candy for the Elementary School Program. Lots of candy in our garage! I am sure they will have fun putting it all together. A busy week coming up but will be fun!!

Christmas Snowflake Card

This card was made with Whisper White and Bashful Blue card stock, glitter, snowflake punch and Heard from the Heart stamp set. It is one of those really fast and easy cards that we made at our Stamp-A-Stack Christmas Card Class last Sunday. I CASED this from Dawns blog. Today I made 6 batches of chokecherry and grape jelly for Christmas gifts. So glad to have that job done! I also got to see my sister and her husband for a little while. Sam even stopped in for a bowl of chili so had a great day visiting with everyone. Have a great evening!!!

More Downline Projects

What a day! Today I went to the Assisted Living and we made 2 cards for New Years! Oh, my I just can't move fast enough for them and we need patience! They are so funny!!! All the years I taught Kindergarten and First Grade and I would say"there isn't such a thing as Can't" and still when people are older they say they "Can't do this". It was a great hour and I really do enjoy working with them! The two pictures today are some more crafts and cards that my downline brought to the meeting on Monday. So many clever ideas! No one should wonder what to make for Christmas gifts as there are so many ideas on the internet! I am going to get a sample scrapbook page made for my December club and then hopefully I can get some jelly made tomorrow before my sister arrives in town. I hope you have a great evening!!!

Downline Projects

These pictures are from our Downline Meeting on Monday. Cheryl made a Ribbon Holder out of an Oatmeal Box and put holes in the side so the ribbon could be pulled out. Sarah made the beautiful card that looks like candies and Cheryl also made the pinwheel card. In the picture below we have several cards that Sarah made from a Scrappin' Christmas Kit. Some of the cards I used at my Stamp-A-Stack Christmas Class. On the side you see some batting stacked and this is for the purses I have been making with the Big Shot. I hope everyone has a great day! It is so nice outside. I was out cleaning up the horse corrals and actually had to take my coat off. I am off to work on my tiles and make another purse. Enjoy the day!

Christmas Stamp-A-Stack

Christmas Tile

For some odd reason I am unable to load any pictures on my blog tonight. I will keep working on it! Grrrr!

Some More Tiles

This tile was made with Craft ink and a dauber. I stamped the background stamp on with Craft ink and then added the leaves with Ruby Red, Really Rust and Mustard. You put Glassy Glaze on it and bake it in the oven for 10 minutes at 350 degrees. After it cools you can put the Chocolate Chip Ribbon and leaf from the Big Shot on it. This is to be used a a decoration to sit on a stand!

Gayle made this tile by putting it in the oven 3 times. First she stenciled the Ruby Red, glassy glaze, baked it for 10 minutes, cooled and then added the mustard bell, glassy glaze, baked it for 10 minutes, cooled, and then added the brown swirly stencil and added glassy glaze and then baked it for another 10 minutes. These tiles all used the CRAFT inks. We had a lot of fun making these tiles. Today was my downline meeting so I will share some of the projects my downline made-Wow! So creative!

Christmas Fold Card

This is a Christmas card that we made at Convention using the Stamp-a-ma-jig. We made this at our November club meeting. This is the inside of the card.

You can fold the card and add a belly band and some ribbon and it makes in to a wonderful card. I used Garden Green and Very Vanilla Card stock. The ribbon is the new Real Red stitched ribbon.

Club Cards

It was such a beautiful day again today! Wow! Well over the 70 degree mark. We loaded cattle out and then I put up Christmas lights on my fences and decorated 7 trees. I dont like to put on lights when it is cold out so this was a perfect day to do that. I also got up extra early and made the help some homemade doughnuts and cookies!
Last night at Club Peggy and Kris shared these 2 neat projects that they made (I forgot to do mine) At this club I give the members some cardstock, DSP and embellishments (all the same items) and then they see what they can create by the next club meeting. You would never know looking at these 2 cards that they had the exact materials to begin with! Very nice job gals! Have a great evening!
