Sweet Slumber DSP

This card was made with the Sweet Slumber DSP which is on sale for today only. If you buy 3 packages of DSP you get the 4th package free. This will be one of the DSP's that will be discontinued as it has Baja Breeze and Riding Hood Red colors in it. Tomorrow all of the Last Chance stamps and accessories will be listed. You will be able to purchase these items as long as they last-first come first served. The Baja Ribbon that I used on this card will also be discontinued. Be sure you have all of your reinkers for the In Colors before June 30th. I love this Upsy Daisy stamp set and I am hoping it will not be discontinued. Stop in tomorrow for a list of discontinued stamps and accessories. Have a great day and thank you for looking!!

Retirement Card

I attended Sarah's class the other night and she had cards made from Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip so I had to come home and make some more cards with these colors. I was going to post last night but had 2 sets of company for supper so got wayyy behind! I made this card for a masculine retirement card and used On the Nines DSP, Baja Breeze Card Stock and the Chocolate Chip stitched ribbon. I also used some white small brads that are in the Idea Book. I am on my way to a branding and want to see if I catch a little of the Ellsworth Air Force Base Air Show from my backyard. Have a great Spring Day!

Another Addition

This is a picture of Hexagon which was on my blog earlier. He has grown so much! In the background you can see Ellsworth Air Force Base!
This picture is of our new colt born this morning! I was surprised driving out in the pasture to see two little ones running around! I will try and get some cards posted this evening after I meet with my new downline, attend a retirement party and get groceries. I think I am finally about caught up after being gone on vacation, mowing the yard, planting flowers, and finishing planting my garden. Spring is such a busy time- I still have a lot of cleaning outside to do and some painting but it will all get done sooner or later. And I am suppose to be retired!!! Our weather has been so beautiful the last couple of days!

I'm Still Here

I know it has been a long time since I have posted, Nancy! Last week I flew to Salt Lake City with my sister, Sherry, and met my sister Rhonda and friend Michelle. Our last stop in SLC was Costco where we bought probably over $1,000 worth of groceries and a 55 inch TV which had to go in the Suburban plus 5 suitcases, 4 people and 4 coolers. No one thought we could do it but my sisters just kept putting stuff in and the mission was accomplished. We drove 4 hours to Pinedale, Wyoming and even stopped at Evanston Wal-Mart on way home to put more items in! We got home at 3:30 am but did get the grocery shopping done for the Graduation Party!!!
This is one of the decorations that we made. We covered a book and then added the letters from the Go Go Boots with the Big Shot. We used the book to put the salads and desserts on.
We went to Pinedale as my twin nephews were having their graduation party! Here they are opening their gifts.

This is a picture of the "Four Sisters". We finally all got together having a great time working, cleaning, cooking, and laughing!!!

This is a picture of the Tetons. My sister and I flew out of Jackson Hole. What a beautiful place! We ate lunch outside and visited the Cowboy Bar! So unique!

Graduation Cards

The Graduation Cards were made with the following punches: 5-Petal Flowr, Boho Blossoms (feet), Round Tab, Scallop Circle, Small Tag (Cap), Word Window, 1/2 inch Circle, 1/4 inch Circle, and 1 3/4 inch Circle.
Here are a couple of Graduation cards that I made this morning. I was inspired by Shirrise Linn who brought the cards to show at our downline meeting. She was inspired by Lyssa Zwolanek of Wisconsin. Lyssa was one of the Art Contest Winners in the Stampin' Success Magazine. I also used white Grosgrain Ribbon and used a marker to color it Only Orange along with the Green Ribbon. I cut a Chocolate Chip 1 3/4 inch circle and stamped Congrats with Chocolate Chip on Only Orange card stock and punched it out with a 1 3/8 inch punch. I would have added the googly eyes but the eyes I had were too small.

This is the same Owl only I put it on Only Orange card stock and added the Congratulations from a retired Stampin' Up! Graduation set. You can make these cards very quickly as they use so many punches.

Farwell to Sandie

Our Day Stamp Club Group had a very special day today! Sandie is moving to England so we all got together at the Alpine in Hill City and had lunch and then went shopping.
Here is Sarah modeling for ????????. Note the beautiful flower purse and hat and how it matches.

Sandie threw a hanger around her neck and modeled a dress and a beautiful hat that she purchased with her life savings. We had a lot of fun shopping, browsing, eating and sitting on the benches as it was such a beautiful day! We will all remember this great day and for having known Sandie and having her in our group! She will be missed! Being in a stamp group is not just about stamping but also meeting and having fun with a lot of friends!!!!!!!

Flower Scrapbook Page

Finally, I am getting some pictures scrapbooked! These pictures were taken almost 6 years ago when my mother, my sisters, and I went to Colorado! Such good memories! I used the Riding Hood Red card stock which will be on the Last Chance List in June and also the Riding Hood Red DSP. Just love this color! I used the Big Shot and made the letters with the Go Go Boots Alphabet Set from the Big Shot and cut the flowers with the Flower Bigz Clear Die. The center of the flower was cut with the 1 3/4 punch and then I added a White Jumbo Gromment (Occasions Mini Catalog) in the center and used the uni-ball Signo Gel Pen to make stitches around it.

Another Daisy Card

Here is another Daisy Card-just love that die! I used Whisper White card stock to make the Daisy and sponged the edges with Riding Hood Red ink. The card stock is Riding Hood Red with Riding Hood Red DSP. On the bottom of the card is a white Rub On. I also used a Riding Hood Red button for the center of the Daisy. You could also add some linen thread in the button but I already had it glue dotted on when I thought of it and it wasn't coming off. I had 2 classes today making the Good Friend Scrapbook and because the wind was blowing so hard it was a great day to be stamping!

Heading

The Heading this morning is a picture of our Plum Tree in blossom. We are suppose to get 60 mph winds later this morning so I wanted to get a picture of all our blossoming trees before the winds hit. Later on this month our Orchard will be a lot prettier as all of the trees will be leafed by then. Boy, does it ever smell good out in the Orchard right now! I love Spring!!!! I will post a card later but have a couple of classes today so need to get set up!

Daisies

Just love this Daisy Die that I just purchased. I used the DSP Tangerine Tango which comes in many other colors also. The Rub On is from the Summer Love Rub Ons in the Mini Occasion Book. I also added a TangerineTango Corduroy Button with a Large Glue Dot. We have taken a load of cattle out and have a few more loads to go before the day is over. It is always so nice to get them out to green pastures and fresh water. I had a great day yesterday as we always have so much fun at our Club Day! Alot of laughing and storytelling and of course lunch to follow! I also enjoyed my afternoon with Patti working with the Big Shot! She is such a creative person and we worked out some problems that were occuring! Such a fun day! Be sure and look at the winners of the 40 square game that we played on yesterday's post! Have a great Springy Day!!!!

Big Shot Dies

I just completed a Die Cut exchange with Marie Aviza. She did an awesome job separating all of the dies so we could all have one of each Big Shot Die.
After I got all of the dies I adhesived them on to a piece of card stock in the order of the catalog.
Then I put a clear folder over them and put a metal ring on to make a booklet.
Here is the whole booklet when completed. It is an easy way to keep track of all the dies. I always think it looks better when you can actually see the dies. I just have a couple left to collect. Thank you Marie for all your hard work of getting 50 people together to send the dies. Thank you for looking!!!

Soft Summer

A busy day ahead! I am teaching 2 different 2nd grade classes today. We are making a Top Note Basket for Mother's Day. Then off to branding! I even have most of my meal done-salads & desserts except I burnt the brownies so that is off my list! Love my life! Today the card I am posting was inspired by Kimberly V. I used Kiwi Kiss card stock and some polka-dotted DSP. The top half is Whisper White. I stamped the Soft Summer with Black Staz On and then watercolored on Water Color Paper (1/2 sheet). I used Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss and an Aqua Painter to do my watercoloring. I added some Crystal Effects and then when it dried I added White Satin Ribbon and adhesived the watercolor paper. This card can be used with so many different DSP's which are on sale this month. Check out the brochure on my sidebar. Luscious colors! Have a great day as I know I will be enjoying my day!

Choo Choo Scrapbook Page

This is a fun page to make if you have a little boy or a husband that likes trains. I used the Primary Colors-Yo Yo Yellow, Orange, Real Red, Glorious Green and Lavendar. The tracks were made with the new wheel in the Occasions Mini. I also added some little smoke on the white card stock. We stamped these cars and then cut them out and mounted them on the tracks. All Aboard is stamped in Real Red on Yo Yo Yellow card stock and then mounted on Real Red and Brilliant Blue card stock. Have fun with this page!!!

Little Calves Playing

Just had to share a few pictures of our calves out playing. They are so much fun to watch now as the sun is shining and the weather is nice. My husband took a bunch of pictures yesterday while he was out feeding. Tomorrow is branding day so I have been doing lots of cooking today. I will post more scrapbooking later. Thanks for looking!!!!

Family Pictures

Sandy and Sherry, my sisters, were home this weekend for a family member's funeral. They came out to visit so we decided we needed to take some photos. Sometimes we forget about these "precious times" together. We always have so much fun laughing together and discussing old times.
My great nieces, Isabella and Olivia, playing in the barnyard with Lana's dog Will. They had so much fun petting the new colt, cleaning up after the horses, and playing with the dogs. So fun to come to the farm!!!

Sympathy Cards

I had several Sympathy Cards that I had to make this weekend so I pulled out my all time favorite "Lovely As A Tree" Just love this set as you can use it on so many occasions. I used the "Nines" DSP-it is so great for masculine cards. The main card stock is either Artichoke, Sahara Sand or Kraft.
I also folded this second card a little different and added the Top Note from the Big Shot. I also used some Artichoke Brads on 2 of the cards. Have a great Sunday!
