Lady Bug Clips

Here are the ladybug clips we made in class. You can make them 3 different ways. On the first one I just punched holes in the red card stock, mounted it on a 1/2 circle of black and then again on the whole circle of black. On the second one I just punched out 1 inch circles and glued them onto the red card stock. You could also take a pencil eraser and dab it into black ink and then onto the card stock to make dots. Oops, it looks like the antenna is missing on the first bug!!!! Have a great evening!

Lion Punch Card

This is the Lion Punch card that we made in our Punch 101 Class last Saturday. I CASED Heather Summers Lion but changed the mane. Instead of making slivers from the square punch we used the Daisy Die from the Big Shot and made 3 of the large Daisies in Certainly Celery, Bashful Blue and Creamy Caramel. The DSP is from Good Morning Sunshine. I used the tool from the Tool Kit to make the holes and then made lines with my White Gel Pen to make it look like sewing. I would move my sentiment up a little so next time would have more room for my ribbon. He was a lot of fun to make!!!

Owl Punch Card

This is one of the Punch Cards that we made in our last Punch Class on Saturday. It was a long day but we got all 8 of them done. We are going to have Punch Class 102 on Saturday July 25th. We will either make 2 less cards or make them less time consuming!!! They were fun! I saw a card like this on Split Coasters and changed some thing around so not sure who to give the basic credit to. Remember today is the last day you can order from the Spring-Summer catalog. You can begin ordering tomorrow, Wednesday, at noon. Have a great day!

Monday, June 29, 2009

This is a card we made at one of Sarah's classes. It is using the Baja Breeze card stock and DSP which will be discontinued after tomorrow. All of the In Colors were so lovely and fun to work with so if you would like any of these papers be sure and let me know before tomorrow night as they will be gone on Wednesday. This butterfly is from the Level I stamp set which will also be retired.

4th of July Top Note

This is a little Top Note Bag that could be used for decorations on the table, a gift bag, etc. I cut out a Brilliant Blue, REal Red, and 2 Whisper White Top Notes with the Big Shot. You can cut the BB in 1/4's and get 4 bags from it. I cut the red strips in about 3/8 inches and mounted them on to the WW card stock. I used a small bag fro Micheals and adhesived the WW Top Notes to each side. I punched a Star with the Star Punch and added a silver brad in the middle of the star. These little bags could be filled with all kinds of goodies.
We had a great Downline Meeting today and then went out to lunch! I have such a great group of ladies-we always have so much to share! Have a great evening!

Tornado Cloud

If you look real closely right above the right side of the red building you can see a tornado cloud. I had a hard time taking a picture of it as a pole was in the way. We were pulling out of McDonalds in Casper, WY last night and my husband looked up and there was a tornado cloud. It didn't touch down but was hanging up there. I dont know if I have ever seen one before in real life. We went over to watch one of our horses that we used to own run barrels in the National College Finals. He ended up 6th in the go around and 7th overall so we were very excited. This was my second trip over there this week. We got home early this morning but was worth the drive. Have a great Father's Day!

Punch Class

I am finally back! No, I am not completely cleaned up but the rugs are drying and I have most of the drawers cleaned out! A great way to spring clean AGAIN! I couldn't believe how it got inside my drawers and ruined alot of envelopes-tons of them. I did find my Lamb Card though unharmed! Yeah!
This is one of the cards that we will be making at our Punch Card Class on Saturday, June 27th at Box Elder Senior Center at 10 am. Isn't he cute? We will leave the sayings and let you put on whatever you would like. We will be making 8 projects with punches and include a special glue all for $20.00. You may also just buy the kits which we will be mailing out after the 29th. So, if you are a distance away or you are busy on Saturday just let us know and we will deliver the projects to you. All of the pieces will be punched and ready to put on a card. These cards are so much fun to make once you start making them you don't want to quit. Just email me if you would like to sign up for the class or have a Kit sent to you. Enjoy your day!

I Will Be Back

I will be back as soon as I can find my stamps and accessories. We had a rain and hail storm here on Sunday night. I was away and when I returned last night I had a lot of water damage in my stamp room (only room in the house). We figured it must have come in through the window and even got in my drawers. My whole family helped me last night as we tried to save as much as possible. It was mostly just moving furniture and items out and pulling up the carpet. Thank heavens for the phone call from Peggy last night so I went to my Stamp Room otherwise I wouldn't have went there until this morning. Thanks so much Peggy! My electrical appliances seem ok and it mostly just soaked items in the drawers. My reinkers were in a blue tin box and had about 3 inches of water in it but was easy to clean and saved them as all the lids were tight. It did not get any of my card stock. Saved again. This was minor compared to our hay crop!! Not a very good sight with the hail damage! Hopefully, some of the beautiful hay will come back. We do have a lot of water now and it is green!!!! All of the animals are OK!!! I guess we had 1 1/2 inches of rain in a short time but north of us had a lot more as water was up to the girls' 2nd wire in their fence line.

New Club Members

We are looking for some new Club Members for our Stamp Club. If you would be interested in joining please email me at pegireland@hotmail.com Our clubs meet:
1)Scrapbook Club-First Tuesday of the Month at Hardees at Haines at 4:00 pm
2)Stamp Club--2nd Thursday of the Month at Hardees at Haines at 6:00 pm
3) Stamp Club --First Monday of the Month at Peg's House at 10:00 am
4) Stamp Club--First Friday of the Month at 6:30 at Becky Schwarz's House

If you would like to join every member buys merchandise each month depending on club and then they get to take turns being the Hostess. The Hostess gets the merchandise, separates it, and delivers it to the rest of the members. We have delivery down to a tee so it isnt complicated. She also gets the Free Level Sets and Free Merchandise and can also take outside orders to make her workshop higher. You do not have to attend the meetings but you do have to have your order into Peg the day before so we can close the workshop on the Meeting Night. If you commit to a Club you should just complete a rotation so it is fair to everyone so they get to be a hostess. It is so much fun and you get to meet a lot of new people and learn new techniques.
If you are not local you can also join and I would send you your materials for your projects each month and your merchandise. We make 3 projects at each club meeting. When it is your turn to be hostess and if you are not in the area I would just have the merchandise mailed to me and then I would deliver for you. Think about it and email me if interested!
