Card Kit Card
Good morning everyone! It looks like we are off to a very warm day! We are leaving for Convention today so not quite sure what will happen with the posts this week. If possible I will try and keep you informed of the latest happenings in the Stampin' Up! world. This is SU's 20th Anniversary so should be an exciting convention. I am finally packed and ready to go-I don't know why I always wait until the last minute! We went to the Hills again yesterday and took our camera this time to get some great pictures. Last night we spent the evening in the arenas tying goats and running poles. Of course, it is dark before we get in for a meal! Today the card is from the new Card Kit. This card kit has the most beautiful paper and accessories. It comes with textured card stock, ribbon, brads, and adhesives. A quick way to make a card! Enjoy your day and keep in touch this week!

Dream du Jour
Love this new DSP from Stampin' Up! (Still need some ribbon to match) I played yesterday in my stamp room as it was kind of a rainy afternoon. I can't wait for Convention and the new Catalog as it is so hard to make cards without all of the embellishments to match! This card used the new Riding Hood Red card stock and the Rose Bella DSP along with 2 jumbo eyelets. Isn't this paper just gorgeous!!! The new stamp set is Dreams du Jour with 4 images. This was a fun card to design but I still need that ribbon.

Christmas Card #1
I finally made the challenge! I got my first Christmas card done for the Blog-even though it does show a lot of glitter! The colors did not come out to the true colors and I used Glorious Green and Real Red card stock and Real Red Prints from the Print Pack. I stamped the All in the Family Kids with Staz On and then used the Wonder Colors and Aqua Painter. I also added the red striped ribbon for a little embellishment. The snowman and the "Very Merry Christmas" are from the New Level III Window Dressing stamp set. These little kids are so much fun to stamp as it reminds me when we were little kids and use to play with paper dolls and cut people out of the magazines and dress them with different clothes. I also made a scrapbook page with these little people. Wow! You can use them for all of the holidays and more! I have seen so many cute Shadow Boxes with members of the family and the family name. These would also make cute tags for the first day of school! Enjoy your day and have a great weekend!

Sock Monkey
OK, OK, I just had to show this new cute stamp set that will be coming out in the Fall Stampin' Up! catalog! It is so much fun! How many of you can remember the good ol' Sock Monkey! They have so many cute accessory stamps so you can use this for birthdays, holidays, or any occasion!
Here I stamped the Sock Monkey on Whisper White and used Pacific Point for my main base and then added some Tangerine Tango cs. I used the Wonder Colors to color my monkey and then used a Blender Pen. How fun!!!!

Tutorial on "Z" Card
1. Cut a piece of Rose Red card stock in half (5 1/2 x 8 1/2). Score on the 4 1/4 inch line. You can also cut your cs 4 1/4 x 11 and score on the 5 1/2 inch line.
2. Cut a piece of Whisper White card stock 4 x 10 1/4 inches. Score on the 2 1/2 inch and 5 inch lines.
3. Adhesive the top of the white card stock to the front of the Rose Red card.
5. Fold your pieces of white cs like a "Z".
6. Cut a piece of Rose Red cs 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches depending on your image. Adhesive this cs to your bottom front DSP about halfway up. 7. Stamp an image on your 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 piece of cs and adhesive this to the Rose Red square.
You are done!!! This is what the card looks like from the side. They are so fun and easy to make! Wow! Look what you can do with your scraps of DSP! Have fun!!!

Z Card
I also laid it out flat so you can see what it actually looks like in one piece laying down.
This is the card lying down ready to pop out. I cut the Tempting Turquoise 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at 5 1/2. The Whisper White CS is 4 x 10 1/4 scored at 2 1/2 and 5. I made 3 cuts on the Flowers For You DSP--(2) 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 and (1) 3 3/4 x 5. I adhesived these DSP onto the Whisper White CS and then added some Tempting Turquoise Grosgrain Ribbon on the top portion on the card. The Happy Birthday cake from Celebration was stamped in Tempting Turquoise on a piece of 2 1/2 inch square of Whisper White CS. I adhesived that onto a piece of 2 3/4 inch square Tempting Turquoise CS. I stamped happy birthday on a scrap of WW CS with TT ink. Also, had to add a little glitter to the candles. I also sponged around the cake. A Happy Birthday Card!!!! Have a great day!!
