Embossed Butterfly

These are 2 of the cards we made at club with the Swallowtail stamp. We stamped the butterfly with embossing pad and then added embossing powder. We put white powder on the pool party card stock and pool party embossing powder on the white card stock. Heat with the heat gun and then cut each piece of 4 x 5 1/4 piece of card stock in half in center of butterfly. Then put a 2 x 4 piece of card stock in back in middle to hold butterfly together. Add to card with dimensions or adhesive. Be sure to get a lot of dimensions in the middle so butterfly will stick good to card stock. I tried this in other colors and it is beautiful!!! I cased this idea from Dawn's stamping thoughts!!!

new babies. Happy Mother's Day to everyone and hope you all had a great day and could be with some of your family!!!

60th Birthday Party

Lana and I had a fun day last Saturday preparing food and decorating for Roxie's 60th Birthday Party! Lots of food and guests made a great day! I made the pennants using fabric and then used Tempting Turquoise card stock and Expresso for letters. A great cake from Piece of Cake-so yummy. The pinwheels were made with ham and a pickle and wrapped up with a tortilla! A great day!!!

paper flower

This was a fun project that I got from Patty Bennetts blog. We made this at club using the new filter paper and the petite pocket with the Big Shot. I tried 2 different flowers-one I made with punches (this one) and the other one I think I liked better using the framelit flowers. Either way all of the flowers turned out different. We used 6 different pieces of filter paper-2 large, 2 medium and 2 small. I used 2 packages for my club so it does take quite a bit of paper. Then we sprayed the flower with Regal Rose, Daffodil, and added a little Melon Mambo with the little spritzer tools. It looks like we are going to have a sunny day so maybe a lot of snow will melt. I just finished painting all of the shelves in the garage so that job is winding down. It needed to be cleaned and painted but not this way!! Oh, well nice now!!!!

More Snow

28 inches of snow!!! Check out the cool drifts! They are predicting snow or rain for another week! We needed the moisture so bad! I did get some more cleaning done on craft room and the plastic containers are working great to organize the garage shelves! I also played awhile on the MDS today! I love that program!

Winter Blizzard

I love this snow! Oh, we need it so bad!!! It has been snowing for 2 days now and some wind. We have a lot of drifts between the back of the pickup and the auto gate!!! So needed! I cant believe how much I got done--all of my classes for April and May--designed and cut!!! Wahoo! No mail, no paper, no school, businesses closed but a great day to stay home. Now to get everything ready for the vendor show (Shopping Suite) next week. I had to cancel a workshop and class but will reschedule as this moisture is all so worth it. Our vehicles are all outside as just waiting for all the paint to dry and then everything goes back in-probably a good job for tomorrow!!! Hope you are having a wonderful week!

A very, very special thank you to all of the ladies that ordered from me during FREE SHIPPING! Wow! It was fantastic!! So appreciate all of my customers.!!!

Don't forget about the bulk pricing with the MDS also!!! You can go on my website (icon on the side bar) and order anything you want including the clearance rack or MDS downloads! Have a great and fun day! I know I am---One of my very best friends, Diane, is coming out this afternoon and another very good friend, Kara, is coming out for supper tonight. This is all if the weather holds. We are suppose to get a big snow storm. So hoping we will get some moisture in any form we can get it.

My husband has the Kilz on our garage and now plans to paint it today. Will be so happy when we get our place back together again! One project after another!

My Digital Studio Tag

I gave a 3 minute spill on the MDS and showed club members how to make a tag on the My Digital Studio. Seriously, it did not take more than 3 minutes. I also showed them how they could print 6 tags at once at home. This tag is in the Designer section of the tags. We made it Hybrid by adding rhinestones and some ribbon.

We had a wonderful day yesterday celebrating Roxie's birthday! Lana and I made all of the food for the party and had a wonderful crowd to help her celebrate. Wow! What a nice community!! A lot of hard work but well deserving to a wonderful lady!

Swallowtail

We made this card in club this month!! Some turned out really well and some we had to alter and make them look like no mistakes. We had a lot of fun and laughter with this card and was fun trying to figure out how to alter all our problems. You just need to be careful to get all of the image covered with Versa Mark and embossing powder. Be sure and heat gun it well but don't burn it!!! We used the daubers and ink to color in the butterfly.  What a blast!!!

Secret Garden

This card was made from the $14.95 stamp class that you can purchase from me. It is a fun card that we made in club and has masking, big shot, punches, etc with about 4-6 projects in each group. Remember, you can also get FREE SHIPPING on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I masked on this card with the large pink flower and then added the flowers around the main flower. We are off to a very busy day! Pies to make for farm sale, food to gather for birthday party tomorrow and lots of food to make up, and garage to get ready to paint. Sort of on upload!!  Have a great day!!!

There is only 1 new color that we have never seen and that is Smoky Slate.  The other colors have been in our system before:  Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder, Pear Pizzazz, Soft Sky, Pool Party, Blushing Bride, Island Indigo and Crushed Curry. I will try and get a video up that explains the color change.
