Convention Highlights
Jennifer is trying her luck on the Wheel of Fortune Wheel. She won some DSP! Way to go Jenn!
Jennifer, Dale Fillmore (CEO of SU), Shirrise and Sherry! They got a picture with Dale as I was in class! Darn! But we did get another one altogether later!
Shirrise and Jennifer working hard on their color pages. We took a class and got to make samples of all the colors with markers, card stock, and the stamp. Check out those great T-shirts that Kami designed and Lana ironed them on for us!
We had so much fun with the T-shirts, hats and glasses! We were easy to find in the crowd!

More Convention
These are some pictures that were inside of the Stampin' Up! building which is the last photo. They had a whole bunch of pink flowers on the wall made from paper.
The chocolates below are all made from card stock. So beautiful it looks like you could just take a bite!!!
This is a beautiful Christmas wreath that was also on display .
This gorgeous light was made with little white petals and pearls. Imagine how much time that took to make but so elegant!
The Stampin' Up! headquarters! Wow! It would be such a nice relaxing place to work!

Touring the Stampin' Up! headquarters. Inside they had many, many displays showing all of the new colors and many projects to check out. On the outside they have this big rock sign that we took pictures at. I will be showing you many pictures that I took over the days that we were in Salt Lake! We had so much fun winning prizes, laughing, and laughing! So many new ideas and creative projects!

Convention Quilt Blocks
This is what I have been doing this past week. I joined a Quilt Block Swap with Angie Juda for Convention and signed up to make 82 quilt blocks. It has been a challenge to see if I could get them done in time and I had a week to spare. We used a Creamy 8 x 8 block and cut out the flower with the Big Shot (8 at a time). Then I sewed around all of the petals of each flower. It was a cool project. We will swap them at Convention and then come home and make our own quilt. Now I am trying to get some swaps done, thank you cards done, and clean my stamp room! The stamp room is a challenge in itself!!!! Have a great day!

Ice Cream Cone Scrapbook Page
This is a scrapbook page we made this month in our Scrapbook Club. I just wanted something to do with ice cream cones as some of the gals made cards with the new ice cream cone set. I just free hand the ice cream and cones and used the retired colors of Green Galore and Pixie Pink for the ice cream and retired striped DSP. We also used the scallop punch for the Whisper White trim.
It has been a very crazy and busy week. We just got done with our Family Reunion at Nemo! What a blast we had! All but 1 of the 23 cousins came! My poor brother and family were packed and ready to drive from CA when he had some heart problems again! So looking forward to seeing them after 6 years but it was a blessing they were still home! My sister, Sherry, just left yesterday so we have had a lot of fun together! So much to see and do! So lucky to have my brother, Randy, and family stay at our house for a couple of nights also! A great time! This weekend we are spending at the barrel racing events and trying to make some quilt blocks in between for convention. My lawn (weeds) are growing and growing so hopefully can get that mowed when we get home (if it doesnt rain)! I hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!

Club Cards
These are the 3 cards I made for our July clubs. The first card was made with Because I Care stamp set , silver brads, Finial Press Impressions Pad, Sahara Sand and Brocade Blue card stock, and Linen Thread. I also used the scalloped oval punch and medium oval punch. After I stamped the hydranga I sponged White Craft Ink on the flower and leaves.
This Stairstep card was made with Pixie Pink, White, and Certainly Celery Card Stock. You use a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 piece of card stock. Using a cutter place the long side of the card stock on the 1 inch line and make a cut from the 1 1/4 inch to the 6 1/4 inch. Turn the paper over and do the same for the other side. Then on the smallest end from the end score between the 2 cut lines on the 1 1/4, 2 1/4, 3 1/4, and then score all the way across the card on the 4 1/4 inch and score between the lines on the 6 1/4 inch. Fold this section like hills and valleys and then burnish the edges. Add all of the details as shown.
For the last card I used the new Ice Cream Set and Pixie Pink card stock (retired). I used Lt Pink and Chocolate Brown ribbon and also used the "kissing" technique on the Chocolate Brown scoop. You can also use Crystal Effects and little beads to look like confettis on the scoops of ice cream.
