Halloween Treats

Where I have I been? I can't believe it has been this long since I last posted. We went to Gillette for the weekend and watched 350 barrel racers a day! Yes, you read it right! I have been canning, pulling the garden, helping fence, and remember those Card Organizers? I have been trying to get them finished and also making cards for them! These pics are not very good of this card but I just want to give you the general idea of how to make this card from a business envelope.
I took the wheel and wheeled across the front and back of the envelope on the bottom and then sponged Real Orange over the image. Fold the ends to the middle and then fold the flap down.
Stamp an image on White Card stock mounted on Black Card stock. Adhesive the image to the point of the envelope. Sorry about the pictures but it is a cute idea! Have a great evening!

Many Card Organizers

This is what 39 Card Organizers look like! I have been working on these late at night as I can't seem to get the time during the day. I have them all folded, together and have the Bind Its on. What a great way to use your 12 x 12 paper up! 39 x 6 is ???? Plus you need another sheet for the front! It is also another reason not to throw away the white cardboard that comes in the DSP. I use that white piece for the front and the back of the books. I cover the front but just leave the back uncovered. Now I need to put the calendars inside, decorate the fronts, and put some cards/envelopes inside the pockets. They go fast except for the decorations on the front and the cards. Let's see 12 x 39 cards! Yikes!!! I will try and get the calendars cut up this weekend! Have a great weekend!!!

Batty For You

We made this scrapbook page in Scrapbook Club on Tuesday. Jody was going to use this page for her little boys as they were dressing like Batman on Halloween! Perfect! Supplies used: Pumpkin Pie 12 x 12, Batty For You and Fence Rollers, Black Card Stock, New Halloween Set in Holiday Mini (my catalogs are packed for tonite's club), and new Halloween DSP in Idea Book. I also added a little purple glitter. A fun page! I hope you have a great day today! I am going to be making projects for a Holiday Bazzar!

Men's Card

I just got back from a massage and I feel so great! Peggy couldn't believe how tense I was! From What?? Can't imagine! This card is made from the Stamp Set Bronc Buster and the DSP if Prestwick! Everyone is always asking for samples of men's cards so I made one. I think why it is so hard to make men's cards is that their interests are all so different. For women you can always use a flower, dots, spots, etc but it is harder to make a man's card! I also used the Top Note from the Big Shot and just sponged around the edges with Navy! I made this card in just a few minutes from the Rock Star Card Elements Kit. These kits are regularly $15.95 but on sale for 20% off through this week. All of the supplies come with the kit to make 9 cards. There are 2 pieces of Bashful Blue, Mustard and Old Olive Textured Card Stock, 2 pieces of Designer Series Paper, Buttons, 1 page of adhesives, and ribbon. Wow! This is a great deal!
You can also punch out more stars with your Star Punch or use other punches to make ovals, etc.

Joy & Peace Christmas Cards

What a busy day! I unpacked, washed clothes, etc and then my plums were ready to can into juice so I got that done early this morning. Then I helped Kami unpack their kitchen! Moving is such a big job! I got this idea from Susan Farrant. I also used Chocolate Chip with Artichoke in my Christmas Card Class. I stamped with Lovely as a Tree in Artichoke once and then stamped again without reinking. I used a brown marker for my trunk and ground. The Joy and Peace was cut with the Big Shot! I love that writing!
I changed the same image around a little and used Real Red with Artichoke. I also used Peace & Joy and did not add the ribbon but did add Dazzling Diamonds on both cards!

Wyoming Sports

Erin is playing Freshman and JV Volleyball in Lyman Wyoming! This was our first time watching her play. My action shots did not turn out!
The twins, Luke and Zach on the sideline. They are Seniors and both start for Pinedale. It was an exciting game as they won 19-14 and held the other team on the 3 yard line for 2 plays.

Trip to Pinedale Wyoming

Pinedale Wyoming

I will be back tomorrow with more updates of our mini vacation to visit my sister and family in Pinedale Wyoming. We have so enjoyed watching my niece and twin nephews playing volleyball and football. The weather and mountains are beautiful!What a relaxing time!

Mr. Twigster

This is the new Mr. Twigster! He is now available from the new Mini Holiday catalog. You can just click on the Mini catalog on the right and check him out! The DSP is Ski Slope also found in the Holiday Mini. I used Red card stock and the red striped ribbon along with a Rub On. He is oh so cute!!!!

Sour Cream Container Recipe

I was going to post this last night and my camera went dead so here goes. This recipe is for the sour cream containers that you can use for treats or decorations. You could use these for any holiday. 1. I used a 4 x 6 piece of Designer Series Paper (new Halloween DSP). You can use any size of paper but if you use a 12 x 12 DSP you can get exactly 6 containers from one sheet.
2. Apply Sticky Strip to the 2 long sides and ONLY one short side.
3. Roll the paper like a toilet paper roll and adhesive the 2 short sides together.
4. Press together the two ends of one side.

Sour Cream Container

5. Add candy as Kisses (4) or 2 Mini Candy Bars or M & M's. Then turn the container and fold the other side and press down. Note the picture. The container will now be sealed.
6. Use the crimper to crimp each side.

7. This is what it should look like before you add the embellishments.
8. I stamped Batty for You with Black ink on White card stock and then punched it out with the 1 1/4 punch. I punched a Pumpkin Pie circle with the 1 3/8 inch punch and then used dimensionals to mount it on a Black Scallop. Note how the tag matches the Designer Series Paper.
9. This is how it looks standing up. You can now put them in a basket or in your Spider jar or hang them on a Halloween Tree. They are so easy and quick! These would make cute treats for your child's classroom or for Halloween Tricks and Treats!

Gingerbread

We made this card today in our Christmas Card Class! We used the Deer Friends stamp set, Riding Hood Red taffeta ribbon, and 3 punches--1 1/4, 1 3/8, and scalloped. The DSP is from Bella. This was a fun card to make. We also added holes in our scallops with the small punch or Tool Box.

Fall Decorations

What a beautiful fall day! Ellen and Donna came out for a Christmas card class and again we had so much fun! They are such a delight! We also played around with the Big Shot dies and the Cuttlebug. It is amazing how many dies will work in the Cuttlebug. The large clear acyrlics are just a smudging too big but everything else seems to work! Great for you with Cuttlebugs as you can use the Big Shot Dies.!!!! Before they arrived I went out and finally got some fall decorations out. My mums in my planter are so beautiful right now
I dug out my little cart and scrarecrow and then picked a couple of ripe pumpkins from the garden. There are still some out there pretty green but these were all ready to harvest!

More Inspired by Nature

This is another Inspired by Nature Set. I used Summer Sun and Pumpkin Pie for the flowers and Artichoke Markers for the stems and leave. I also used 4 artichoke brads and mounted the Very Vanilla card stock onto Artichoke card stock.

Inspired by Nature

Inspired by Nature Set is an incredible stamp set! Once you get started working with it--it is so hard to stop! This card was made by coloring the flowers with markers--chocolate chip, artichoke, pink passion and then adding Ruby Red on the tips of the flowers. Huff on the image and then stamp.

This Chocolate Chip card was mounted on Close to Cocoa and stamped with Versa Mark. I added twill around the card and tied a small piece of twill around the card and stamped on the twill with Chocolate Chip. I had seen this card on someone's blog but I can't remember where. There are so many more possibilites to make with this great stamp set!

Alzheimers Donataion

This card is being sent to the Staff at the Artman Home in Pennsylvania. Cammie has started this fund drive for Alzheimers and has a post that you may want to go to and contribute a card to a Alzheimer's patient. You can also enter for some blog candy. Chipboard Snowflake

I used the Big Shot to cut out this large snowflake. You can use any stamp pad and color it or cut out another snowflake with Designer Series Paper and adhere it to this chip board.

Chip Board Snowflakes

I cut this snowflake from the new chipboard on the Big Shot. I colored the snowflake with the White Craft Pad and then sprinkled Chunky Glitter all over it. This snowflake could be put on a card or hung on a Christmas tree or used for decorations.

More Snowflakes

I cut this snowflake with the Big Shot from the Ski Slope Designer Series Paper. You can just glue this on top of the chipboard.

A Beautiful Day!

What a beautiful and fun day! This morning I went over to my ol' friend's house (Bev alias Angelique) and we pulled out the Bulky Knitting Machine! She fixed me breakfast and then we tried knitting. It was like the blind leading the blind but in no time we got the machine to knit! It was so fun and brought back so many ol' memories with the knitting machine. We were so excited that we could still knit after 12 or more years! It is just like playing the piano-once you learn you never forget (you may be a little rusty but it all comes back!) Then she gave me a grand tour of her place and all the little critters and her beautiful yard with all her trees. She DOES work and has many projects brewing! Wow!

This card is one of the cards we will be making in my Christmas Card Class! It was a fun and glittery card to make! I used Riding Hood Red card stock and the new Christmas ribbon in the Holiday Mini. The snowflake was made from the Big Shot with lots of glitter. I scalloped the edges and stamped the message from a Level I set! ( I just love that set). Another Wow Thank You Card

Wow! Another Wow Card! This card is a thank you card from Ellen! A lot of work went into this card! Love the new In Colors and the scalloped edge! She even added some Riding Hood Red ribbon and the Dream stamp set! Check out the little embellishments! I have such great friends!

A New Card

What a nice card! I love the way the DSP folds over. I got this lovely card from Anita. It was a thank you card for the Fair. What a lovely lady! I love getting homemade cards in the mail-it is just fun to see all of the great ideas! I have been working at Spearfish for the last few days for a barrel futurity. I help keep times for the barrel events. Now I know what it is like to commute out of town -wow! 4 days to Speafish and back--I can't imagine doing it every day of the year! Our last barrel racing friend left yesterday. We sure did enjoy the company for the last 3 weeks. Tonight we have 2 more friends arriving! I told Bud I am feeling like a maid-changing bedding, cleaning rooms etc. but I truly have enjoyed everyone. I am anxiously awaiting for my sister to arrive on Thursday for a couple of days and then it will be lonely around here again. My daughters house has arrived and they will also be leaving as soon as they finish the inside. It has been a busy fall!

Top Note Cards

These are some cards from House of Haunts and using the Top Notes from the Big Shot. The first card I embossed the house on white card stock and then used the Pastels to brush over the top. I mounted the white cs on Kiwi cs and then added the Tangerine Tango ribbon.


The image was embossed with Vanilla and then I rubbed green Pastels over the tree and orange over the pumpkin. You can not see the effects of the tree very well. I added the Vanilla/Kiwi taffeta ribbon on the top of the card!

The last card is embossed with White on black card stock. I used my white pen to touch up around the Top Note and then added black gingham ribbon. You can make a card out of this Top Note by putting your cs just a smidging in from the end of the die and this way it does not cut off the end to make two. Be sure you fold your cs first before you put it in the Big Shot. The top card is going vertically with the fold! Thanks for looking and I hope you have a great day! It is just gorgeous outside! Jolly Santa

Just a little over 3 months away! Christmas always comes faster than we think! This card was made with the Top Note from the Big Shot and the Ski Slope DSP layered ontop of Real Red card stock. I used the Olive ribbon and watercolored Jolly Santa. Of course, I had to add the glitter!!! I am going to be adding classes on Christmas cards the last Monday in September. The class information will be posted on my blog tomorrow.

Spooky Spider

I finally got my Spooky Spider jar done. I bought the Spider when I was at Convention but just got a jar to put it on. I found the jar in Hobby Lobby and it was the 9 inch jar. The spider image is 9 x 9 so you have to find a pretty good sized jar which will take a lot of candy. This jar is holding a bag of kisses so you can see I have a long ways to go to fill it. Stampin' Up! will be coming out in October with 6 different spiders (same image) but 3 sizes in black and 3 sizes in white. They would be fun to put on the wall or any type of glass. I have tied a piece of Tangerine Tango ribbon on the top. You could also add a tag or card.

Friend Card

My Dear Kind and Wonderful Friend card was made with the new In Color Pink and the Bella Rose Designer Series Paper. I used the new lovely stitched Chocolate Ribbon to add to the Top Note. The Top Note and the buttons were made from the Big Shot. I also went around the Top Note with my Close to Cocoa marker. On the bottom of the Bella Rose paper I scalloped the edges. I used real fine DSP to make the thread in one of the buttons. This was a very fun card to make!

Garden

This is one of our pumpkins. We have several and just keep getting bigger and bigger. I just want a few for Halloween Decorations.



Our tomatoes have been so delicious this summer. I need to start canning and making some salsa. They have grown and become almost flawless. There are a lot of green ones on the vines yet!
