More Expo Pictures

We displayed many of our cards for people to view and/or take pictures of! They could get some great ideas!
Checking out the Digital Calendar that Shirrise had made-the calendar that Stampin' Up! printed is of fantastic quality!

Becky is looking at all of the cards that Cheryl had brought to put on display. She had a great screen for displaying cards and projects.
Some more beautiful jewelry from Cheryl. The pink necklace on the right is made from paper and Crystal Effects. She also had a beautiful red one that she made.
Sarah put a lot of work into making this display board for her Fabric Art. She displayed the pattern of the quilting from Leadership also.

Craft Expo 2

These are some beautiful Simply Adorned Jewelry that Cheryl made. She took a black and white picture of her mother and added to one of the necklaces. Check out the blue charm-her initial is "C" so she carefully stamped the C over the word "Create". Very clever, Cheryl!
This is some of the Fabric Art projects that Sarah made. Sarah is very creative and made some flower art with the Big Shot and some headbands with flowers on them. The pillow in the background was made by Jamie and the Big Shot.
This is some of the projects that we had on the Scrapbook Table. Scrapbooks by Shirrise, photo albums by Peg, and scrapbook kits, etc were displayed.
These are the first guests that arrived. I hope they all had as much fun as we did and got to see a lot of products from Stampin' Up!
This is me with all of my purses that I have made with the Big Shot. The large bag in front was made by Cheryl. I also displayed a baby quilt that I had made and demonstrated how to make the purses. There will be more pictures coming tomorrow. I hope you enjoy these and get some ideas!

Welcome Neighbor DSP

This is 2 of our club's projects that they made this month. I gave them a piece of the DSP from Welcome Neighbor and some card stock. They were to make a scrapbook page or a card from these materials. This is what Kris and Peggy made with the supplies I gave them. Aren't they just clever? I will take a picture of my card and post it later. Tomorrow is our Craft Expo so hope everyone can run down for a few minutes and see our displays. Of course, the weather is not cooperating!! Ugh! Hopefully, the sun will be out before the day is over! Have a great weekend!!!!

Club Scrapbook Page

Isn't this a cool scrapbook page? Each person in our scrapbook club was given a page of their choice from the new Sweet Pea DSP and also any color of card stock and I had a box of flowers. This was Patti's page of flowers. I didn't have my camera along but should have as there were some awesome pages. They had so much fun putting this together and being creative and not copying my page. I had my 3 clubs this week so now I am off to sewing purses and packing up materials for the Craft Expo on Saturday! If you are in the Rapid City area come and enjoy a FREE day of demos, make and takes, and door prizes. We will also be giving away a Big Shot so be sure and register between 10 and 2!

New Flower Punch & Flowers

I have had so much fun this afternoon working with this new flower punch. I have been making some projects for my clubs and classes this month. This flower I just made out of newsprint from our local paper. I made 5 flowers and then crumpled them and crumpled them. Then I made one 1 1/4 inch circle and poked a hole in the middle and then added the pink corduroy button. How easy is that! Oops, before I added the button I took my sponge and added some pastels on the edges of the flower.
I need to make a St. Patrick card for my West Hills Residents so I used the retired Kiwi Kiss corduroy button and some Kiwi Kiss DSP and did exactly the same as above. It would also be fun to use some old papers or books to get the really old vintage look. You can purchase this punch for only $15.95 in the new Occasions Mini Catalog on page 13 #18073 (Extra Large Fancy Flower) Just image the different papers and fabric you could use! Have a fun time with this punch!

Live and Learn

Yesterday Kris came over and she made this beautiful purse (colors are not very true) It was such beautiful material and she had worked hard and did such a great job!!! To make the story short when she got home she threw it in the wash machine and it didnt fray like the others. She snipped it and washed it again and still no fraying. I don't know what kind of material it was but evidently it didn't have much cotton in it so it did not fray. She told me it is still a pretty purse. Kris sewed this by herself and said she does little sewing so she was pretty excited when she left. I have to get to stamping now and leave the sewing for awhile or even my downline will fire me. We are getting ready for our 1st Annual Expo so must get in gear! Have a great day!

Lady Bug Bag

This little bag I made for Knollwood School to use in their Incentive Program. Just love the little ladybugs and hearts. I made this for a little elementary child so I only made it 2 x 2 scalloped squares with my Big Shot and Scalloped Square Die. These go together very quickly. I hope everyone has a great Valentine's Day! Enjoy your sweetheart and family!!

Valentines for Lions Club

I have been sewing purses, sewing purses and sewing purses! I think I am on #17. They are so much fun and very addictive. I just got some new material and will have to show you one when I get it finished. Lined with polka dots-how fun is that!I just finished making some little favors to take to the Lions Club Valentine Supper tomorrow night! (Hopefully, the weather will straighten up so we can go) It was so slick this morning in the corrals that the horses and I were having a hard time standing upright! These little favors were made with a 6 x 6 piece of DSP. Yes, those FREE DSP from Sale-a-bration really work slick! Angie Juda on Chicnscratch has a tutorial on these but you just score on the 2 inch line on all 4 sides and then score diagonally in each corner. I used those little silver rings that you use to hook paper together and then tied ribbon on the rings. Filled with candy and that is it! So quick and easy! I hope you have a great weekend and that everyone on the East Coast gets shoveled out!

Top Note Valentine Treats

These pictures aren't very good but I think you can get the idea of this projects. My sister just bought a Big Shot along with the Top Note die and made these for Valentine's Day! How cute are they. She used some retired Stampin' Up! DSP and just odds and ends of valentine embellishments that she had around the house!

Note the cool Mini M & M's! Have fun with these!

Club Cards

These are 3 of the cards that were made with our club members. I give everyone the same card stock, DSP, and ribbon and then they each design their own cards and bring them to the next club meeting. This time they could add their own embellishments also. Next month we will be doing either a scrapbook page or a card.

Kris made this card! Check out the creativity!!! We have a great time with this project! Kris also added one of the new Real Red Brads. Very creative with the opening of the card.

Peggy made this card and the pearl just sets it off. She also added some background embossed dots and used one of our new punches.

Easel Card

This is an example of an Easel Card. I used Pretty in Pink card stock (4 x 8) and scored it on the 2 inch and 4 inch line. I glued the 4 x 4 Pretty in Pink card stock on the scored 2 inch piece and added a 3 3/4 inch square DSP. I also added a 3 3/4 inch square DSP on the bottom. The white scallop was a Die from the Big Shot. I also cut out 2 large hearts from the large heart punch after I had put them in the textured envelope. I added a pink corduroy button for my "stopper" and some black satin ribbon. I used the window punch for my sentiment. It was a fun card to make! Enjoy your day!

Valentine Holder

We made this little valentine holder in some of our clubs this month. You use the Tags Die with the Big Shot and can either use the roller or a stamp. I also added some ribbon and then you can put some Taffy or a chocolate stick through the holder for a little something to snack on. One of our clubs used the Kraft and Real Red and made them into Christmas Tags so we have a jump on the holiday. I hope you have a great day! One of our clubs meet today which we always have a great time!

White Movers and Shapers Card

This is a very quick and simple card. I used the Movers and Shapers Die with the Big Shot and inserted the heart shape. The Whisper White card stock was put in the Perfect Polks Dots Impression Folder and then I cut a little off the front of the card and added a strip of DSP on the back after I punched it with the Lace Scalloped Punch. I just aded some pink satin ribbon and tied a knot. I am off to club---hope my class goes well!

Monday, February 1, 2010

This card is made with the scalloped square die and the Big Shot. I used Real Red, Pretty in Pink, and Whisper White card stock. I also used the Sending Love DSP, With All My Heart stamp set (clear stamps), Scalloped Edge Punch, Sending Love Epoxy Brads, Large Heart Punch and Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslits Die! We will be making this card at club this week! Class will be in a few minutes so need to get going! Have a great day!
