Flower Pot Card

This cute little card was made with directions from Sluman on Splitcoasters. I used a piece of 3 1/2 x 9 inch Close to Cocoa, a 3 x 4 DSP, and some Grosgrain Ribbon. The tag was punched with the Key Tag Punch and an image stamped on it. The flowers were used with the Big Shot and buttons were added in the center. I used the 5 flower punch and cut in two to make the leaves. I also added the Lace Punch for the trim. If you pull on the flowers a little message card comes out that is tucked inside the flower pot.

Big Shot Boxes

This is some boxes that we made with the Big Shot yesterday at Club. Note the different colors of DSP and some of the embellishments that were put on the boxes. I was proud of myself as I shared. Sometimes it is hard to share the Pretties Box and all of the brads and other embellishments. If you click on the pictures you can see the boxes closer up. Nice job ladies!!!!

Spring Scrapbook Page

This is the Spring Scrapbook page we made for Club this month. We used a piece of Lovely Lilac 12 x 12 card stock and a piece of Green Gable 12 x 3 card stock and fringed the edges. Using the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set we stamped the images with Staz On and watercolored with the Aqua Painters. We also had a lesson masking with the eggs in the wagon. I cut off the handle of the wagon and moved it to the opposite side. We also added some brown buttons for wheels. Have a great day-I know I will as we are having Club this morning, it is my daughter's birthday, and it is going to be in the 60's. The snow is melting quickly-probably too quickly as there are flood warnings out now as the creeks are rising!!!! Enjoy this beautiful day!

Easter 2009

My sister and her family visited us over the weekend. We decided to dye some Easter Eggs. Never too old to dye eggs--my nephew--Luke, sister--Rhonda and niece--Erin.
They traveled from Pinedale, Wyoming for the visit.

Ethan and Zach really into the dying!!!

This is a picture on Easter morning with their Uncle Bud and Aunt Peg after the Easter Bunny arrived and before they left for their long trip home--

We always have so much fun when we get together-talking, playing cards, fixing meals, eating, etc. This is a family picture of my sister, Rhonda, and husband, Kenny and 4 kids--Ethan, Zach, Erin and Luke.

Window Sheets

This Thank You Card is made with the new Printed Window Sheets in the Occasions Mini Catalog. I cut off the brads in the back of the Brown Corduroy Button and added some glue dots under it to stick to the window sheets. Then I put some glue dots under the Window Sheets where the button is to also help stick to the DSP. I also added some Glue Dots in the top corners of the Window Sheets. You cannot see the dots here--sneaky!! The DSP is a sheet of Parsian Breeze Specialty added to a piece of Baja Breeze card stock. These Window Sheets are really quick and easy to use! Have a very nice Good Friday!

Easter Baskets

What a beautiful card and tulips!! I got these from the 2nd grade class that I worked with yesterday. The kids each made an Easter Basket from the Envelope Die of the Big Shot! They were such good listeners and were all able to put the basket together, stamp their own image and punch out the circle and scallop circle.
These are pictures of the kid's baskets. They are going to fill them with Easter Candy on Thursday and take them home.

I had the envelopes cut and had all the materials in a baggie. They got to choose the colors they would like. They also chose their own matching??? circles and scallops.

I may venture into a Mother's Day project with them as they did such a nice job! Next time I am going to let them use the Big Shot but thought this project would take too long for each of them to cut out their own basket. Most of them could use the punches themselves. A fun group to work with!!!! I am going to another school on Thursday morning!

Comfort Food

Comfort Food stamp set is a Level I set in the Stampin' Up! catalog. I used some colors this morning that I don't use very often together-Sage Shadow, More Mustard, Bordering Blue, and Not Quite Navy. I used the Color Coach to get this combination-a great tool! You can find it on page 153 for $9.95. Well worth it if you have troubles with color combinations like I do. I also sponged 3 colors around the edges of the Whisper White card stock-Night of Navy, More Mustard, and Bordering Blue. The image says "Feeling Sick? Milk it". I also used More Mustard and Night of Navy Brads. I am always saving all of my embellishments as I hoard them and now I used 8 on one card. Have a great day!!!

The Last of the Snow Pictures

Hopefully, this is the last of the snow pictures. It finally calmed down today. This is our backyard.
This is a picture of our front yard after we shoveled and used the tractor to move snow. Click on this picture to see the bright blue sky and the cattle in the background. Cool picture!!!

A cool drift! This was right in front of our house! Great sculpture!

I took this picture at nighttime! Note the snow falling down! Wait until this all melts-we will have lots of water and mud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Birthday Cupcake

It is still snowing out and it is getting very deep. Some horses just got out and I was out getting them in--Deep drifts! It was suppose to quit snowing last night around 6:00. It is 25 degrees out so it is not bad as far as warmth. There is a No Travel Advisory and the the Airlines are closed again!!!!
I made this darling cupcake from the Wagon Full of Fun stamp set. I used Regal Rose and Certainly Celery card stock and Watercolor Paper. The cupcake was watercolored with an Aqua Painter and I used some 5/8 inch Rose Grosgrain Ribbon. Enjoy your day!!!!

Blizzard Again

Here we are in another Blizzard-the 3rd one in 1 1/2 weeks. Can't believe it!!
It is suppose to quit tonight at 6:00 pm. Sure hope they are right! At least it is on a Saturday so there are not any school closings! Those poor little calves are sure having a tough time! It isn't as cold out this time as the last 2 blizzards which helps a little. This one started yesterday afternoon. It looks like this will be the end for awhile-although we still have April and May to get through!

April Special

The technology is ready on Stampin' Up! You can begin ordering anytime now online or email with an order! Have fun!

Another Wagon Full of Fun

Here is another Wagon Full of Fun card. This time I used Chocolate Chip card stock and Pink Pirouette layers. I ran the Pink Pirouette through the Big Shot using Texture Plates #4. The image was stamped on Watercolor Paper and then watercolored with an Aqua Painter using So Saffron, Pink Pirouette, and Baja Breeze ink pads. I also added some pink small brads. I love to watercolor as it is so relaxing! This stamp set can be found in the Occasions Mini catalog. Yesterday I spent the afternoon outside tagging calves and cleaning up. It was so nice out! Starting to melt but hope it doesn't go too fast as a lot of people have snow in their attics and it is starting to melt up there so you know what that will bring-a big mess! Hopefully, today I will be able to do a lot of stamping as I have a long list to accomplish!

Just love this Wagon Full of Fun Set. So many cute images! This set will be in the new Occasions Mini Set that will be available to order today if all goes well! Stampin' Up! is having a few technical difficulties this morning getting the Catalog up so will let you know when you can begin ordering online! If you have not received a copy in the mail or at one of my clubs or workshops I will also post the mini on the sidebar when it is ready! I used Tangerine Tango card stock and then added a layer of Whisper White card stock after I put it through the Big Shot with the Stampin' Up! Backgrounds Texturized Plate. I used the Water Color Paper and mounted it on apiece of Kiwi Kiss card stock that had also been run through the Big Shot with the Texturized Plate #4. A piece of striped Tangerine Tango ribbon was added. I watercolored with the Aqua Painter and used Caramel, Tangerine Tango and Certainly Celery stamp pads.
