Wine Toppers

 I made some

wine bottle toppers. My sister, Sherry, gave me the idea to try it!! They are awesome but the glitter paper does make them more expensive! What I got from the craft fair is "oh, my gosh these are so cute" and no sales on this project but that will be OK as will use them for the holidays!!! I used a 3 x 11 piece of card stock and scored at 3 inches. I put the 2 3/8 scalloped punch glitter paper on the top 3 inches as close as possible to the score line. Mark the center and then punch out the middle with the 1 3/8 inch circle punch and that is how you get the hole in the top of the paper. I then added a piece of white card stock 2 3/4 x 7 3/4 and punched all the corners to make them round and added a lot of sparklies to embellish and also added some Washi Tape! The bow is the spendy part as it takes a 1/2 sheet of glitter paper (some left over) and cut it out on the Big Shot with red glitter paper. You can add the bow on top of the bottle or on the neck. You can use Fast Fuse, Tombo Glue or red tape to stick the bow together and then use a clothespin for more security for a little while.  These were so much fun to make and very addicting!! Tags 'n Bags

 I made

these cookie or food bags for the vendor show on Saturday, November 15th at the Comfort Inn Suites (next to the Dakota Steak house and on Elk Vale Road) The show is from 10am until 6 pm. There are a lot of booths so come and have some fun! Lots of door prizes, food and fun!  The cost is $5 or 5 cans of food for the food pantry. The bags are waxed lining so great for cookies, etc. You can put these on any kind of bag. Also watch for my wine tags!!!

For All Things

This

is a beautiful card that I CASED and we made it in our club. It was made with the "For All Things" stamp set and Color me Autumn Designer Series Paper. I also added some burlap ribbon, twine, and a button. The fall colors are so pretty. We are off to take family pictures today so enjoy your day!!!

Good to the Last Bite

This was made with the scalloped punch (2 inches x 7 inches) Score at 3 and 4 inches. Add embellishments and add candy bar or Truffle on bottom of tag.

Ideas for gifts

 This

is the final product that our family (Ireland Performance Horses) gave as one of our give aways for the 5-State Barrel Futurity.

 I made

some Blueberry and Strawberry jam and some homemade salsa and decorated the jars. The salsa jars decorations came from a very old retired stamp set with jalopenos and a cactus.  There is also a bag that I decorated with the new western set and put a box of candy in, a test tube with mini oreos, a pad and a Stampin' Up! pen!! Fun gift! I made 3 of them and they were given to 3 stallion owners! Congratulations!!!

great teacher gifts

 I made

these last night for our 5-State Breeders Futurity for prizes. These would also make great teacher gifts! I used Tastefully Simple Cinnamon Muffins and a Jar of Homemade Strawberry Jelly and put them in Stampin' Up! Tag A Bag Gift Box #130927 for 6.95. I covered the boxes with scraps of Designer Series Papers and also the belly band around the box is a scrap to match. On the computer I made the words Strawberry Jelly and punched it out on white with the 1 3/4 punch and then added more circles with the 2 1/2 and 2 inch punches. The label on the front of the box was made with the Label Punch in several layers. I also made some that were just rectangular shape and layered. I used the sayings from the great and fun stamp set Bravo #135380 which is a photopolymer stamp set for $25.95 and has 13 wonderful stamps in it.  The last thing I did was cover with the heavier cellophane that comes on big rolls found in a craft store. I added ribbon to the cellophane and cut off the top. I hope you have a wonderful day! I am going to stamp cards for my classes and clean my stamp room!

Project Life Cards

We had a fantastic 2 nights of stamping at my house for the Club Appreciation Nights. We had a taco/fajita lunch with fruit and had a great time then we played a few games for prizes.
One of the nice projects we did is that everyone could create a card using Project Life Cards. They chose their own color of base card, used a Project Life Card and then could use any choice of my ribbon, punches, dots, scrap paper etc. I showed them 2 cards that I had made and they took off from there. What fun!!!! They found themselves to be very creative. The club members could not believe what you could do with the Project cards as there are 100 cards in each box!!! They added stamps also.

Ellie Ann

Our

new little granddaughter, Ellie Ann! Just love her to pieces! She has been such a blessing in our lives. I gave her this dress and then of course I had to make a headband to match.  I actually have pulled out my sewing machine and made her a sundress and got some material to make more. So fun!!

Everything is still going well on the home front!! Yesterday was bitter cold but today seems to be better. I am going to the Assisted Living today with Julie to make 2 cards with the residents and then off to a luncheon with my retired friends. Have a great day!!!!

Embossing Folder Card

This is a Happy Birthday Card we made in club this month.

First of all you will take your ink pad and cover the top inside of the embossing folder.

Add your card stock on the inky part and close the folder.

Run the

folder through the Big Shot and you will come out with this beautiful design. A very fun and beautiful technique to work with.

Scalloped Punch Card

 These little

cards are all over the internet but I got the directions from Tami White . They look difficult but very easy to make. We made these in our club this month.

1. Fold 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 card stock in half but do not crease

2.  Cut edge in scalloped punch

3. Cut off top and bottom from scallop to edge on both scallops with scissors or a cutter.

4. Score on 4 1/4 inches fold and then score opposite tag.

5. Add Designer Series Paper and embellishments.

Sea Salt Card

Hi, I am back again

I don't know where the days go but I am obviously way behind. I spent some time last week up at my daughters helping her as she is expecting our first grandchild plus the snow that we have had. I just finished my last physical therapy classes yesterday! I am walking everyday and feel so much better. We have been trying to have club for the last 2 weeks due to the weather and we finally got them in the last 2 days! I got this idea for this card from Patty Benett. It was a fun technique to do.

Wet water color paper using an Aqua Pen

Drop several drops of reinker on wet paper. I used Costal Cabana and Pistachio

Use you aqua painter to spread out reinker

Drop Sea Salt randomly onto wet areas. Let dry.

When dry, wipe off salt.

Emboss with Ampersand embossing folder.

Sand the raised edges of the Ampersand.

Finish adding the embellishments.

 

A Bowl of Cherries

 This is

a card I got from my down line, Cassie, when I was recuperating from my knee replacement! How cute is that. The stamps used are Giggle Greetings #130165 (clear) or #13162 (wood), and Gorgeous Grunge #130514 (wood) or 130517 (clear).

I am getting near the end of my PT. It feels so good when you get done but boy is it a workout!! I see the Dr. on Tuesday so will also be done with appointments for awhile.  Hope you have a great weekend!!
