Wedding in Atlanta

I have been away for a few days as we flew to Atlanta for my neice's lovely outdoor wedding. It was so beautiful right next to Sinclair Lake. My 3 sisters and I before the wedding began at our cabins on the Lake.
We are finally all together again again--first time in 6 years--brothers and sisters! Rick, Rhonda, Sherry, Randy, Sandy, Peg and Ed! We had such a great time and it was so hard to say good-byes!

We visited a plantation near Sandersville and they fixed us a beautiful dinner! Wow! Squash and Vegetable Casseroles, Potatoes, Chicken, Rolls, Broccoli Salad, a beautiful dessert and of course some Sweet Tea! We also toured Savannah, went across the border to South Carolina, and walked the city of Madison. We all made it home safely and had a beautiful vacation!!!

Cards for Downline

These were the cards and projects that I shared at my Downline Meeting! I will be showing some other downline pictures as the days go by! We enjoyed experimenting with the Letterpresses! They do work best with Craft Ink, New Clear Pads, and the Watercolor Paper.

Halloween Candy Wrapper

I made this Candy Wrapper Bigz L Die #120890 from the Nite Owl #123012 Designer Series Paper. I also used the Scalloped Punch, 1 1/4 inch punch, and the 1 3/8 inch punch. I stamped the skull on Whisper White card stock and then mounted it on Old Olive card stock. These would be fun to fill with chocolates or other Halloween candy. I hope you have a great day!

Thank You Card

We made this Thank You card at Convention and I also made it at my September Clubs. It would make a cute little gift to give to someone.
There are 3 little envelopes and 3 6 x 3 pieces of card stock to make into little cards that fit inside the envelope. If you seal the long envelope and just barely cut across the top it will allow you to store your envelopes and cards. You put the envelopes on one side and the 3 cards on the other side of the Small Open End Envelope.
We had another cold day here today. Finally had to break down and light the furnace. We thought it may snow yesterday in Gillette. Not ready for this kind of weather.
Materials:
Small Open-End Envelopes #107286
Mini Envelopes #107309
DSP Stack Brights 117155
Marina Mist, Daffodil, Whisper White and Real Red Card Stock
Chocolate Chip, Marina Mist, Daffodil, and Real Red Stamp Write Markers
1 1/4 Circle Punch
Daffodil Delight 1/4 " Grosgrain Ribbon #120928

This is a picture of the backside of the pumpkin I bought that I used the Definitely Decorative Halloween spiders on. You can see that they are large spiders.
It turned winter over night here-----brrrr-so cold out! In the 30's. Not ready for this weather!

Haunted House

Today I decided to make the little Design-a-House #120911 that is in the Holiday Mini Catalog on page 37 for $5.95. You can make this quick little house into a Haunted House, Christmas House, Gingerbread House, etc. It is very easy and quick to put together. All you need is the house and Sticky Strip. I spray painted it black.
Then decided to add some glitter all over the house so just put some on there when I sprayed the last layer of paint before it dried.

After it was completly dried I added some vellum paper in the windows and stamped a spider on one of the pieces. Then I cut out a lot of bats and adhesived them to a heavy thread and added them to the house. The center piece in the middle of the house was made by making an accordion fold with a 1 x 12 inch paper and scoring it in the middle, fan it out and glue it to a scalloped circle. You could also add a little light under it so it would show through the windows. This would also make a great gingerbread or Christmas House to make with your little ones or a classroom of little kids in a center.

I hope everyone has a wonderful long weekend! My Convention Quilt

I am so excited as I just went over and picked up my quilt that I made. All of the flowers were made with the Big Shot. I made 80 flowers and sewed them on material and then was in a swap with Angie Juda at Convention.
I brought all of the 80 squares home and sewed them together and then took them to a quilter to have her put the quilt together.

I chose this Moga material for the backing and then she bound it with brown material.

This is a close up picture so you could see the beautiful quilting that was done. I just love it and so excited to show it off. All with the Big Shot!!!!
