Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween!!!! This is a card that I made from a Kit from Sarah. Sarah has some really awesome kits. So nice just to put a card together and everything is there! Wonderful job! It is beautiful out today! I was just out in my short sleeves--amazing how the weather changes in South Dakota. I am off to getting my paper cut for my November Clubs and my Christmas-Stamp-a-Stack! I want to get out and enjoy the beautiful weather afterwards! I hope everyone has a fun and safe Halloween!!!!

My Story

My Story
I joined Stampin' Up! in 1996 as my sister did a workshop for me and I immediately fell in love with it and wanted everything. I have met so many nice friends since joining and I have been to every convention but one since 1996. I love to create new ideas and being with people that love doing what I love to do. I taught school for many years so I really enjoy teaching others and watching people learn.

My Digital Studio

Just had to share my first My Digital Studio Book. It turned out fabulous and it is a very simple book as I like to be able to focus on the pictures. This book is of our vacation to New York and Pennsylvania in October. It took a little less than a week to get the book back from Stampin' Up!

The rest of the pictures are on the inside of the book. You can also add embellishments and any color that you want for background papers. You can also match the background papers to match exactly to the colors in the picture.
This picture is at the Hershey Factory and the last picture we are at the Apple Festival. It was so fun and quick to put together.

My Wonderful Trip to Arizona

I had such a wonderful trip to Arizona this past weekend. The weather was beautiful and then I came home to a snowstorm. Lana had to take a picture of me in front of a large cactus in Cave Creek where we did a little shopping.
We had went riding for a little bit across the desert to Kristie's and then the next day took a picture of me with Jalepeno.

We are headed back to the barn!Just enjoyed driving around and seeing all of the beautiful landscapes and eating the great Mexican foods. It was so nice in the evenings just to sit on a bale of hay and enjoy the beautiful weather when I knew it was snowing back in South Dakota. A great place to be in the winter time and now to go back to reality!!!

Arizona

I am so enjoying my vacation in Arizona with my daughter, Lana! We have had some great Mexican food and even a Pina Colada! We went riding yesterday for a little while and I will have to share a picture of us in the desert! So beautiful here and wonderful weather. I will be leaving this wonderful weather tomorrow and heading back to South Dakota to face some snow and cold! This morning I am watching Lana and Kristi train barrel horses and this afternoon we hope to get over to Cave Creek and do some shopping after we pick stalls.

I made this beautiful card from Sarah's card kit. She does such a nice job with her cards. Have a great weekend!!!!

This is another card using the same technique as I used yesterday. Last night I made birthday and sympathy cards using the same idea only with a different stamp set. It is very easy to run this folder through the Big Shot. You can run 3 pieces of Whisper White card stock at a time and then just stamp and add a little ribbon. I finally got my stamp room cleaned again! It becomes a disaster so fast!!!! Have a great day and weekend!

Fall Card

We made this card last night at Mikal's home. The image is from Wandering Words which is $25.95 in the Holiday Mini catalog. We used Dusty Durango card stock, ribbon, and ink! The back ground is made from the Texturized Impressions Folder (Petals-A-Plenty) also found in the Holiday Mini. I cut an oval out of the front of the Folder so I could have a blank space to stamp. You can also cut circles or any type of shape out of the folder. Today I am going to be making a Christmas card at the Assisted Living with the same idea. Have a great day!!!!

BOO

Here are a couple of door knob decorations that I made for Halloween with my downline! We used some spicy gumdrops that I had bought in Pennsylvania at the Apple Festival. The top one was made by tying the 5/8 inch ribbon and then adding a small corduroy button. I made the letter B with my Big Shot using the Simply Serif die. I also used the Halloween DSP, Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black card stock. The little Treat Cups are found in the Holiday Mini catalog.
I cased this Boo Door Knob Hanger from Heather Summer's Blog. She does such great creative work. It is made like the top one only I used a different design of DSP and I tied a bow a little different. I just crossed the ribbon and added a corduroy button. The materials used:
1 3/4 punch (treat cups)
Treat Cups
DSP 3 X 8 1/4
Black Card Stock 3 1/2 x 11
Pumpkin Pie Card Stock 3 1/4 x 8 1/2
1 1/4 Punch (top circle and then cut across with scissors to create opening)
Black 5/8 Ribbon--12 inches
Button
Glue Dot
Linen Thread or Embroidery Thread
Treat Cups (2)
Small candies
Big Shot and B die from Simply Serif
I hope you have a great day! I am so looking forward in doing a MDS workshop at Michels tonight! We will have a great time!

Halloween Treats

Where have I been? It has been hectic since my return from vacation so will try and do some catching up. Today Bud and I took treats to the Vet Clinic and the Nursing Home for Halloween before I leave for Arizona. We made some homemade potato donuts and filled the containers with chips, popcorn, candy and vegetables. I frosted the donuts with orange and black frosting so they looked a little festive.
I made this card with the Build A Bear Die and the Big Shot. I also used the pumpkin die cut, scalloped and star punch. The DSP is the Halloween paper in the Idea Book. I made several bears and had so much fun decorating them with different clothes made from DSP. What a great way to use up your scraps!!!! We had a great Downline meeting on Monday followed by a very nice long lunch. I will share our project that we made tomorrow.

More Leaves

It is so000000 cold and windy here today! I was out taking twine off of a big bale and thought my hands would freeze! Guess I am just not ready for winter!!!! My sister, Sherry, has been staying with us for the last few days so we have been having a lot of fun running around and visiting old friends and doing some shopping! We went up yesterday and had lunch with our dad who just turned 88. We had a very nice lunch-homemade pizza, watermelon and a yummy birthday cake. Today we are leaving for Pennsylvania for a short trip to see the Fall Foilage. We do hope we get on our plane as we will be going standby! It is always a challenge and interesting when traveling standby with my sister. We hope to get to the Dansko shoe factory outlet, Appalacian Mountains, and see a large craft fair outdoors but we never know where we will end up! The card I made today is with the stamp set, Autumn Splendor, found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. I also used More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, and Whisper White Card Stock. The DSP, Autumn Meadows, is also a new product in the Holiday Mini catalog. I also used the Scalloped Punch, and More Mustard Ribbon. The leaves were made by sponging Real Rust, More Mustard, and Chocolate Chip on the image and then stamping on Whisper White Card Stock! Have a great day and weekend!!!!

Fall Scrapbook Page

This page was made with Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa and Vanilla Card Stock. I used the Nature Set and colored the stamps with Summer Sun, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive! I just love this set! I also used the Circle Cutter and some Jumbo Brads. We made this at our Scrapbook Club! We had a great Club last night! I always look so forward to my clubs every month with the friendships and all of the new creative projects and ideas that everyone shares. I just got back from my walk and it was so beautiful out when I started and ended up being a little chilly so when I got in the house I made a big batch of Chili!!!! I am going to pick up my sister at the airport in a little bit so we will have a couple of days together here before we take off to Pennsylvania to see the beautiful colors. Tyler is getting along great with our new little one, Cutter! It is amazing to watch animals! Today my customers MDS should arrive so I will try and get them delivered so they can have as much fun as I have been having on my MDS. Have a great day!

Our New Addition

This is our new addition to our family! Like we need another dog! Oh, but he is so cute! This is Bud, our older dog Tyler and our new addition, Cutter!
How could you not keep this little one! Tyler doesn't look too happy but it will get better! My neice's girls were out today picking pumpkins and they of course got side tracked by the little puppy! He is so playful! Now everyone will have to be careful again when they drive into our place! I hope you have a great evening!

Fall Card

This is a card I made with the new Fall DSP and the new leaf stamp set. I used Taken with Teal and Chocolate Chip card stock! I also used the Scalloped Punch and some brown taffeta ribbon. A very quick and easy card to make. A lot of times I do not add a sentiment until I am ready to send it! We have had an inch of rain and I guess some of the schools in the Hills are at a late start due to snow arriving!!! Too early for me! We had a great weekend! Kami won a saddle, a buckle and other prizes as she won the Amateur at the Futurity and also got 2nd in the Breeders and Open! What an exciting weekend! I will show some pictures later!!! I must get ready as the gals will be arriving soon for club!

October Club

We will be making this card at our October Clubs. I used Dusty Durango and Soft Suede for the card stock. The stamp sets are Kind and Caring Thoughts and Define Your Life. I also used the Soft Suede Polka-dotted Ribbon. The stand is 4 1/4 x 11 and scored at the following inch marks:
1, 2 3/4, 3 3/4, 5 1/2, 7 1/4, 8 1/4 and 10. The Vanilla card stock is 5 x 2 3/4 and 1 x 2 1/4. The
Soft Suede is 1 1/4 x 2 1/2 and 5 1/4 x 3. The wind has been blowing over 50-60 mph for 2 days. Hope it comes to an end soon! Have a great day!
